carry out justice and execute him
How can you really determine mental competency? ANYONE who commits murder,
especially in this way, of an innocent wife and baby, is completely and
This should have been dealt with in 1985. Our judicial system is pathetic.
This crime was committed in 1984. When does it end? It doesn't matter if
he's crazy or not. He shouldn't have been alive this long to go crazy
completely. He has already cost us all an unbelievable amount of money that
could've been spent many other places for the betterment of society. Stop
the insanity! Execute him now
Our judicial system works just fine. I appreciate the fact that appeals can be
made for a variety of reasons on behalf of people. It may be that in this case
the accused deserves execution but, in other cases, having the right to appeal
may keep us from executing someone wrongfully.
He is an oxygen thief. A chapter that needs to be closed.
@ Midvale Guy,There should be exceptions made for those who are guilty
beyond all doubt. I'm not talking about a case where the evidence was shady
or motives are a factor. Where do you draw the line? He killed an innocent woman
and her infant and was convicted and sentenced to death by a jury TWICE and yet
nothing has happened in almost 30 years. When a man such as this can be a leach
to society for thirty years simply because he can hold off his execution with
appeals, I will say it again, our judicial system is pathetic. I don't
understand how it can be described as "works just fine."
Are you aware that he is not the man who slashed the victims?
@corenal, are you aware that it was Ron who wrote what was called "the
removal revelation" that stated the reasons for killing Brenda, and two
others who mercifully escaped these monsters? Were you aware that with his
brother Dan, Ron beat Brenda, then choked her with a vacuum cord until she
blacked out, and then let his brother slit her throat? Then he directed his
younger brother, Dan, to go into the next room and slit the throat of
Brenda's baby. Is he less guilty than his brother of these heinous crimes?
I think not.
Oh, come on, of course he is the man. If you know something then why
haven't you come forward. The judicial system is sick and does not work
just fine. All of these appeals are ridiculous. One appeal, I can see, but years
of appeals, no! Just carry out the decision of the jury. Let God decide who is
at fault if there has been a miscarriage of justice, which I do not believe has
happened here. This man knows how to use the system to his advantage and time
has run out. He needs to pay now for what he has done. If Daniel did it
then he will pay, whether it is with a firing squad or on the other side.
It is easy to say the system is broken. It is easy to call for death when you
sit on the sidelines. But if you are in the middle of the fray, it is not as
easy. Perhaps we can content ourselves knowing that this offender has been in
prison for all these years and be glad... while we work to alter a system that
is not perfect, but which may be less broken than we think.
Can you imagine, their brother has had to live with what happened all these
years! You can imagine what it did to the rest of their family and the family of
their sister in law! Putting him to death doesn't change anything, but I
think in some cases the punishment fits the crime! There has to be some kind of
punishment for something so horrific! They knew what they were doing!
Unless his age has contributed to his "insanity", he can't be any
more "insane" now than he was then. The crime was hideous, and keeping
him and his brother on the "public dole" all these years is rediculous.
When the news gets slow, someone always drags up something that may make them
"famous". The both of them were no good in 1984 (and before) and nothing
has changed since then. As for his brother "having to live with what
happened", he didn't care then and I doubt if he cares now.End it
and them both now. There are more important ways to use our tax dollars. What about Lance and Kelbach? 43 years was too long to wait for one of them to
go, how much longer do we wait for the other to follow?
We, the people, have been paying for his free room and board for 1/3 of his
life. We, the people, have been paying for his endless array of money grubbing
attorneys. We the people have been denied the fellowship and friendship of his
victims for most of their lives. And we, the people, can't even get to see
what legal shenanigans are being perpetrated on us all ... and still all paid
for by we, the people. Innocent until proven guilty is a great law. Guilty for
1/4 century and still thumbing his nose at we, the people, is a travesty. M
I fear that too long has passed since the crimes for people to remember the
victims, and that he will be the one getting sympathy. How about a photograph
of the beautiful, very young, wife and baby he killed?
