It would seem to me a strange way to make a living -- combing through various
sources to find a way to condemn people who do not have lds values, so that you
can post gossip and judgement about them on DN.Oprah should marry,
against her own personal wishes, to please a columnist at the Rupert Murdock
owned Post? What if I wrote that mormons should relax and have a few
beers, because I think it is good for the soul? Equally ridiculous and non of
my business!Jesus did not teach by condemning a person of different
beliefs who hurts no one.
I think she left a bad example when she started to be such a racist, about 20
years ago. With Opra it is all black all of the time. No one else could get
away with it. On not getting married, it has to be about the money and exposure
to dividing up the cash that keeps her from getting married.
If I might respectfully disagree with "Born in Bountiful"... First of
all, covering Black-related issues isn't racist any more than the majority
of television focusing on white stuff is racist. It's her show, so why
shouldn't she cover things that are of interest to her and her target
audience. Secondly, it's ridiculous to suggest that her
remaining single is due to financial needs. She's a billionaire, and has
more money than she can spend in a lifetime. Not everyone wants to be married
or feels the need to marry. If she's happy being single, why should that
disturb any of us. She's made something of herself, she's enabled a
lot of others to succeed and inspired many women to push for success, so why
should she be expected to marry just to meet the needs of people she's
never even met?
Here you go again. Gotta get married!Posting LDS messages to back up
what was said at the resent Mormon Conference?Wasn't one of the other
messages "Be more tolerant of others"?
