After losing to the Bruins 45-17 tonight, the only thing we'll have to look forward to is our annual pillow fight in the Rockies to determine whether Utah or Colorado gets to spend the long cold winter in the PAC 12 basement. At least we're getting used to watching bowl season from the comfort of our couch.

    Go Utes!

    Christy and WACteam,

Didn't you guys predict those scores for the Utah byu game?

Where will you guys be hiding tonight after Utah takes control of the Pac 12 south race?

Our quest is alive and well.

    Yours ended in Virginia.

And then you lost to your rival for the fourth time in a row.

How embarrassing it must be to be a byu fan, jealous of Utah.

    Go Utes

    Brad,

remember when you predicted something similar for the byu/Utah game?

    I do!

UCLA 27 Utah 24. I'd pick UCLA by around 10 but a cold, possibly wet, high altitude game must be jarring for those who are used to Los Angeles September.

Chris B, remember what you predicted for the BYU/Texas game"

    8:01 a.m. Sept. 5, 2013

Want to see what "go fast go hard" looks like?

    Watch Texas.

Texas athletes go fast and hard.

BYU "athletes" are several notches below Texas athletes.

After the BYU/Utah game BYU will be 0-3, and Utah will be 4-0.

Texas will do whatever it wants with BYU.

    Texas 40
    BYU 14

    Actual result:

    BYU 40
    Texas 21

Somehow BYU's athletes that are several notches below Texas athletes ran all over the Longhorns to the tune of 679 yards, including 550 on the ground, most rushing yards EVER given up by Texas.

    --------

Yes, christy, you're such an amazing soothsayer.

    UCLA over 40
    Utah less than 20

SEC Rules proclaims "You Utes are in for a shock. You are not in the Mountain West Conference anymore."

This is Utah's 3rd season in the PAC 12, so the Utes won't be "in for a shock". This is a tough game on one of the toughest schedules in the nation. They've known that since this summer.

Whatever happened to the Utes being undefeated and ranked by now?

Apparently, the only voter who knows that the Utes exist is Kyle - the Utes got ONE vote in the Coaches Poll, what a homer.

Bruins end Utah's slim hopes to win the PAC South tonight.

"This is Utah's 3rd season in the PAC 12..."

and U still haven't beaten a PAC 12 team with a winning record.

What makes U think that will change tonight against an undefeated, Top 25 team, when U couldn't even get past an Oregon State that lost at home to Eastern Washington?

  • lost in DC West Jordan, UT
    Oct. 3, 2013 10:45 a.m.

the DN may not post this, but the line I saw in the Atlanta Journal Constitution this morning was UCLA by 5-1/2. not the blow-out the Utah haters are prediciting or the win the Ute loyalists are predicting.

And I think ASU will have some say in who wins the PAC 12-south.

    Riddles,

We WILL be ranked after this weekend, and leading the Pac 12 south race.

And I'll ask in advance: Why wasn't byu ranked after their big time win over Texas?

And yet, Utah will be ranked after our big time win over legit top 15 UCLA

The football world laughs at what byu has become

Funny, challenging another blogger to post a prediction, when you're too scared to post one yourself.

"We WILL be ranked after this weekend, and leading the Pac 12 south race."

Sure, just like you were after the OSU game.

Even with a win, the best U can do is tie for the PAC 12 South lead with ASU for a week, with a certain loss to Stanford next week dropping U to middle of the PAC status.

Instead of entertaining delusions of grandeur, you might want to concentrate on just becoming bowl eligible this year.

Funny, calling some one scared to make a prediction. Um u may want to look at other threads before making false statements. I have predicted a Utah victory, 28-24 on several articles. I hope that relieves your anxiety. I notice no prediction from you. No, simply trolling a Utah thread looking for an arguement, par for the course.

"Utah will be ranked after our big time win over legit top 15 UCLA"

If the Bruins lose to a team as pathetic as the Utes, they obviously aren't a legit Top 15 team.

  • TheSportsAuthority Arlington, VA
    Oct. 3, 2013 12:21 p.m.

The Utes certainly aren't a legit Top 15 team, so if the Utes beat the Bruins, either the Bruins aren't a legit Top 15 team, or the better team didn't win.

  • Cletus from Coalville Coalville, UT

Im not so sure a win tonight = PAC 12 South Champs.............I'm pretty sure Arizona State has had the utes number the past two years. 37-7 last year and 35-14 the year before at home. I would be worried about the Sun Devils.

  • Rock Of The Marne Phoenix, AZ

Ah, the jealous Utah haters (A.K.A. BYU fans). Maybe be you should just focus on beating Utah State (not going to happen) and worry less about Big Brother Utah as you have no sane rational to diss Utah after your teams fourth loss in a row (9 out 12 for Utah = domination). The evidence of BYU fan obsession with PAC 12 games on these threads is overwhelming and amusing to no end considering that's the conference they always thought (in a hopeful delusional way) they would wind up in; then reality kicks them in the teeth and their hated rivals get the invite. I know it still hurts, but news flash, you're team isn't in the PAC 12 so you really shouldn't bandwagon for other PAC 12 teams (e.g. UCLA) just because your team isn't good enough to beat the Utes. Have a little pride.

    @Rock Of The Marne

And yet, even with the Utes in the PAC 12 now, even after the Utes have defeated BYU 9 of the last 12 times, Ute fans continue to obsess about BYU and continue to be a bandwagon for any and all of BYU's opponents (e.g. Texas, and Middle Tennessee).

    Pebbles

Utah fans whining about BYU fans trolling PAC 12 articles - LOL at the sheer hypocrisy of that whine.

The truth is, you're far more concerned with what BYU fans think about Utah's game with UCLA, than you are with UCLA.

btw, being a perennial bottom dweller in the PAC doesn't prove anything.

  • mindgames Aurora, CO

From a diehard BYU fan I wish the best for Utah against UCLA. No predictions, I'm batting .500 and that's not good.

A victory for the Utes would be a big breakthrough and will be a springboard for them.

A loss would be a setback because of the overall PAC-12 showing, but a close game will be much better than the narrow loss to Oregon State. This is a highly regarded UCLA team.

    Good luck Utah.
GOOOOOOOOOO Cougars, start a winning streak.

Troll Police, this is a Utah story/thread. I am a Utah fan. Hence my annoyance at Y fans constantly acting like PAC 12 stories are of any relevance to them seeing as their team is not in the PAC 12. BTW, I don't troll BYU stories (find one example of me commenting on a BYU thread; you can't because I don't). Kind of ironic that you're here calling out Utah fans on a Utah thread, especially given your handle, don't you think? BTW, I would rather be a Pebble of the Marne than not (AKA a way you'll never be). Go Utes.

@ SoonerUte - Salt Lake City, UT - "SEC Rules proclaims "You Utes are in for a shock. You are not in the Mountain West Conference anymore." This is Utah's 3rd season in the PAC 12, so the Utes won't be "in for a shock"."

    SoonerUte -

Not nearly as confident as Utah fans were of a BYU loss versus Texas.

  • worf Mcallen, TX
    Oct. 4, 2013 12:24 a.m.

With two PAC 12 games, teams are averaging over forty points a game against the utes.

This is an indication that BYU needs to improve its scoring. Thirteen points against the utes was pathetic.

    2 reading Chris B's pre-game comments

  • worf Mcallen, TX

A side effect of a Ute loss:

    * less critical remarks against BYU.
    * makes Utah football look weak, because they barely beat their rivils
