    Wow even on a down year the aggies can still score big against an overmatched opponent. Let's face it guys, you couldn't beat UofU and you won't get past USC or BSU so it's a down year in the WAC 2.0.

    Great game Aggies. Although it was more of a scrimage than a game. Chuckie made it look way too easy. Can't wait to see how USU matches up with the USC! Go Big Blue!!!

    Weber might want to stick with SUU for the in-state games.

    I thought Weber played the Aggies tough...right up until the opening kickoff.

    Aggies will cream the Trojans.
    Write it down.
    Putting my name on it.

    I'm pretty sure I saw Stang in the south eastern corner of the General Admission section, right near the concourse. Dude was fully decked out in SUU gear. Next game I see this dude, I'm going to lean over and say "The sun is shining." And if it's you, Stang, you need to say "But the ice is slippery."

    I love a good beatdown, but USU was on the receiving end of these too many times for me to enjoy it deep down. I felt pretty bad for Weber State.

    Feel bad for Weber State. giving up 70 points in two games in a row to an in-state team is harsh. But i don't feel either Utah or USU ran up the score. GO AGGIES AND UTES! Chuckie Keeton is a beast!!

    Hmmmm, saying it's a down year when we're only 3 games into the season is a bit premature, don't you think Stango?

    I'll wait till we're at least 6 or 7 games in before I make any kind of diagnosis.

    Stang,
    sorry we cant play the mighty Fort Lewis, Northern Colorado or Portland State every game. For some unbeknownst reason our AD has this notion in his head that winning games, becoming bowl eligible at the fbs level, finishing ranked last year,sending multiple players to the nfl for the past few years, having fans excited would be good for our school and program. go figure.

    Everyone just needs to calm down and stop the personal attacks. The aggie were impressive. Yes Weber isn't very good but that's not for anyone to judge. Can everyone agree that these personal attacks on Stang08 is a little childish?

    @Southpaw

    Stang can dish it, but he sure can't take it. Why should anybody let up? He brings it all on himself, all by himself.

    Stang08,

    Brother, what are you doing? There is no reason for you to comment on this story like this and continue your efforts to defame Utah State because you disliked how they treated your school (or maybe even you personally) at a sporting event. Every single time you write on one of these statuses (stati? just kidding) you are only fanning the flames and doing nothing to help yourself. At this point, even if you had a good point I don't think Aggie fans would listen.

    If you don't have anything nice to say...

    If you think that USU is really a big bully, why do you keep giving them attention?

    Also, Go Aggies! Great game and it was good to see the 2nd team look so sharp. I think the USC game next week could be ours if we play a complete game!

    God bless!

    So I'm guessing that the "civil dialogue" and "thoughtful comments" welcomed by the DNews apply to everyone but StangO8, is that correct? Here's my thoughtful comment: The Aggies have worked hard and deserve all the success that comes their way. Go Aggies...let's go get that big win in SoCal!

    Stang not going to defend himself so his mom will. How'd that game go this weekend by the way? Why haven't you scored any stats? You hurt again?

    Great game Aggies, the 3 quick scores in the second half were awesome. I look forward to the USC game. It should be a great win for USU.

    And as far as nobody being allowed to judge Weber State... why? They got outscored 140-13 in their last two games. Regardless of division or conference, that's pitiful.

    Stang0 is amazing! "Let's face it guys, you couldn't beat UofU and you won't get past USC or BSU so it's a down year in the WAC 2.0." First Stangy, USC is not in the "WAC 2.0". Secondly BSU is definitely a possible victory for the Aggies, playing in Logan. Finally, calling MWC "WAC 2.0" accomplishes nothing. It is a great conference for the Aggies with teams of similar strengths, fan base, economic status. Light years better for the Aggies than say....The Big Sky conference?

    Classless win. Especially after what Utah did to them last week.
    If it's not a heated rivalry game or a BCS statement game there is no reason to beat up on some one by more than 30-40 points.

  • VAggie Bristow, United States
    Sept. 16, 2013 10:35 a.m.

    @lixicrat

    We put in the backups for the entire 2nd half, we let them go full force for 1/2 of the 3rd qtr andran the offense because those kids worked hard for their playing time. From then on out we ran the ball over and over. We weren't constantly trying to score. It's weber's job to stop us.

  • tinplater scottsdale, AZ
    Sept. 16, 2013 10:35 a.m.

    Lixireat...Classless? The entire second half was played by the twos and threes. You can't coach players to not try. What are you a Weber State Cat in Indiana? If so talk to your AD (a USU graduate by the way) and request that Weber State not play Utah, USU, or BYU. But the fans want to see their team play with excellence, not just taking a knee over and over, which is just as insulting as trying to run up the score.

  • Go Big Blue!!! Bountiful, UT
    Sept. 16, 2013 11:01 a.m.

    Classless? The starters didn't play in the second half. Second and third stringers still want to play hard and show what they got. Weber kept their starters in the game. Unfortunately, Weber is just that bad this year.

  • Stang08 Southern, UT
    Sept. 16, 2013 12:37 p.m.

    I agree with Lixireat. The aggie playeres, coaches, and especially fan's are classless. Look at all these pathetic attempts to insult me. All the stuff they have said about me is just a very bad attempt to hide the truth about themselves. And whoever said that thing about the civil dialogue not concerning me is wrong of course. Just look at your fellow aggies throughout the years. Not civil at all.

    @lixircat @stang08

    Its not like we were passing the ball when we were up by that many. What would you like the running backs to do when they are in wide open space? fall down haha. you are a joke, both of you. Players are going to compete no matter what the score is especially when they don't get reps like the first team does. use your football common sense if you have any.

  • Aggie253 Logan, UT
    Sept. 16, 2013 2:14 p.m.

    @lixircat

    How is it classless when you play your second and third strings in the entire second half (mostly 3rd string including the QB for the entire 4th quarter) and you run the ball just about every single play after about the 10 minute mark in the 3rd quarter, and go for it on 4th down so the defense has a chance to get the stop? Would you rather Utah State just take a knee every down or kindly walk over and hand your defense the ball every possession? Trust me, the USU fans wish it had been a more competitive game as well, but you can't just tell your guys who are looking to earn more playing time in the future to just go half-steam.

    That said, I have to hand the Weber State players some serious props for continuing to battle under the worst conditions. That Chipoletti guy was pretty impressive and has some moxy, as does the guy who picked up the botched snap to score. That says a lot about those players as football players and as people, and their team will look to them as leaders moving forward. Payday will come.

    Sept. 16, 2013 3:42 p.m.

    @Stango

    Question: If the T-birds were up on Weber 70-0 with a quarter and a half left to play, what would you have the T-birds do? Roll over? Play dead?

    Weber had way too many mistakes and miscues when playing our second and third stringers. And they paid dearly for it.

    The players are going to play ball, not take a knee for the rest of the game. If anything, that would be every bit as classless as running up the score. Best to get experience for the back-ups.

    Ugly couple of weeks for Weber. It would be wise for them to put it behind them and focus on conference play.

    Hey Stang0, I don't think you are able to respond to anything based upon fact, but rather just identify, is USU involved, then make some crazy statement against the Aggies. It is you who labeled, in these public forums, all Aggies as "morons and idiots". It was you who said Keeton was nothing special and not the best QB in the state, it was you who said the Aggies will have a lousy season. And just like last year, when we had real occasion to celebrate the greatest football season ever, this year we can enjoy the excitement of a really good football team while all you can do is moan and groan about how inept, bad, and offensive Aggies are. I feel privileged to be able to cheer on the Aggies and Keeton, as we will have, hopefully, one more year of his amazing performances.

    USU and Chuckie are for real. You guys destroyed Air Force and USC is very beatable. Just don't make stupid personal fouls and you may surprise a lot of people very soon.

  • Osgrath Provo, UT
    Sept. 16, 2013 6:49 p.m.

    lixircat, you might want to make note of the fact the the first team only played the first half. All the Aggies on the field in the second half were 2nd and 3rd team players. A coach cannot ask his players to not play hard - he can only control which players get in the game. Rolling over would have been classless.

    lixircat,

    only speak of what you know, the Aggies let off the throttle wayyyyyy early. It could have been 100-0 without much effort. the fact that it was only 70 was a class act in itself.

    Classless Stang, is making it a point to downgrade the Aggies and their fans on every article about them posted on here. You are the epitome of the pot calling the kettle black

    @lixircat

    I don't see how this is a classless win. The Aggies pulled a big chunk of starters before the half was even over! As a matter of fact, after 5 minutes of the 3rd quarter the Aggies were done scoring. Those 3 touchdowns came on breakaway plays, not from aggressive play calling. Settle down and get back to whatever people in Indiana do.

    To me 'classless' is often a scapegoating term for heartless effort... Bitterly disappointed in their own team's performance, they look to make it hurt less by spewing 'hate' towards the team that didn't decide to show up offenseless and defenseless two consecutive weeks. Were the same posts written on the article recapping the game in SLC, one week prior? I guess to expect consistency from sports fans is like expecting the same success or failure for consecutive coaches or classes of students. To have said that this is a down year for USU is simply crazy. It is more of a down year for the Wildcats and Air Force Academy who for two consecutive weeks scored as many as or one point less against two different teams. However, the thing in WSU's favor is that it didn't happen at home.... To my knowledge both of AFA's disappointments happened in Colorado Springs... BSU is vulnerable... USC is vulnerable... To rule out losses for either based on a new coached team is simply crazy as well! I am glad games are played despite fan interpolations.
