Taking full responsibility for his actions? No doubt a conservative
Not a hero, but brave to confess. Many would hope to hide from the consequences
their entire life if they could. If you cause a tragedy like this, it ought to
change your life, and it is great to see this young man owning up to it and
trying to help others learn from his mistake. Hopefully this message stops
somebody from making the same mistake.
It is true that he should not be considered a hero. That said,
Nixonian residual integrity, is better than no integrity at all. While he should not be thanked for doing what he should have done all along
since June, how many people in his position would have done the same thing? The
situation is a bit of a conundrum. A remarkable story. My thoughts and prayers
go out to the deceased and his family, friends and neighbors.
I'm going to agree, this man is not a hero. However I do admire him for
being responsible for his actions and willing to take full responsibility for
his actions and lack of better judgement. I have lost family and friends to
drunk drivers and I miss them a lot. I will say, it took a lot of guts to make
a video and post it on a social media admitting the error of your ways. It does
show a strong character to do this. My prayers are for the family of the man
who died. I also send prayers to this young man, that by doing this video has
helped in changing his life for the better. What kind of sentence he will
receive, that is up to the courts.
When you take someones life, you will that that life with you the rest of your
life. Use your better judgement.
