Weber State only scores a paycheck in this one.
whoa powerhouse Weber State coming to Rice Eccles.., is this the ESPN game of
Wow Jarka, you're really going to start the smack talk after your 'Go
Hard Fall Fast" weekend at Virginia and Middle Tennessee State on the
schedule on 9/27? Amazing!
Whittingham has proven that he's capable of losing to anybody, but even
Kyle would have a hard time losing to Weber State.
jarka-rus--"whoa powerhouse Weber State coming to Rice Eccles..,
is this the ESPN game of the week?"Yep, that same
"powerhouse" which visited provo last season. Although, they're
not even remotely comparable to byu's annual opponent, Idaho State,
arguably the very worst FCS/1-AA program in history. That game ought to be a
barn-burner down there in utah county, to say the very least. I imagine ESPN
wishes they could've fit it into their schedule, what do you think?
Hopefully, this will be a game where Utah jumps out and gets a comfortable lead.
It would be nice to rest the starters the majority of the 2nd half.
Weber State @ Utah, PAC Net - says it all
Noon kickoff will give Utah fans plenty of time to get home to watch a real
football game at LES.
@ PAC manIf a real football game means getting throttled by Texas,
then I guess you are right. Both games should, and probably will, be over at
half time. I find it amussing that even after BYU loses to a weak Virginia team;
and Utah beats a good USU team, BYU fans still have the nerve to take shots at
Utah. That's why I posted that BYU's lose to Virginia was Karma.
@AZUTE1Actually Middle Tennessee State is a decent FBS program.
atl134--"@AZUTE1Actually Middle Tennessee State is a
decent FBS program."Where did I mention MTSU?
SportsCenter--"Weber State @ Utah, PAC Net - says it all"Wasn't byu's game against Weber State last season on byutv?
Furthermore, isn't byu's annual game against that juggernaut, Idaho
State, on byutv this season, as well? Says it all!
rankings just out...interesting...PAC 12 has the following:USC
25WA 20UCLA 18Stan 5Ore 25 of 12 in the
top 25...it sure is nice to play competition week in and week out...play a few
warm-up games early and then have a steady diet of competition...its what makes
you strong.Weber State will allow everyone to see our 2nd and 3rd
stringers...that is what makes you strong as well.PAC 12...
alt 34??you gotta back it up dude...in 2012 MTSU lost to:McNeese StateLa-Monroe...badlyMiss State....45-3Sunbelt
powerhouse Arkansas State...45-0This year they have only had one
game against Western North Carolina of the Southern Conference and won
45-24...Where is your knowledge that this is a good program coming
from? We want to know. thanks.
Hey Baby"alt 34??Where is your knowledge that this
is a good program coming from? We want to know. thanks."MTSU is
neither a juggernaut nor a complete patsy. The challenge in hyping them based
upon last year is the following--Their final SOS ranking was at
#105, as they finished 8-4, yet they went bowl-less.They did,
however, return 16 starters, including their QB. Based upon byu's total
ineptness against UVA, it's certainly possible for them to come into provo
and leave victorious but it probably won't happen. This'll be
byu's best shot at securing a victory before they play at Sims-less UH,
although GT is a possible win for them, we'll see.
Give alt 34 some credit. MTSU plays at Johnny "Red" Floyd Stadium.
Anybody who plays in a stadium with a name that cool has to be good - right?
Who cares about actual results on the field?! I mean, why would byU have
scheduled a home-and-home with them if they were not one of the best teams in
the country - right?
Ok Ute fans, I agree that the odds are not good that Weber State will pull off
the upset. I just hope there are no injuries and that Weber State gives the U
of U a competitive game. I will point out that Weber State played the Sugar
Bowl Champion Utes to one of their closest games that year, 37-21...not bad.
Eastern Washington did beat Oregon State and Weber State lost to Eastern
Washington on the last second last year. They have a better offense. However,
I realize that the talent level is different from FCS to FBS.I
don't think Coach Wittingham lets the U of U go into the game not ready to
play. I would like to see Weber State go back to playing Wyoming, Colorado
State and other teams like UNLV where an upset is a very good possibility. They
have some rebuilding to do, but they always play with maximum effort. Just ask
Riley Nelson If Weber State doesn't hit hard or give it their all. GO
@WAC man:Any comment from a byU "fan" about a week Utah
opponent just makes me chuckle! Thanks for the laugh, I needed it!Go Utes! Onward and Upward!
I have a hard time believing many more FCS upsets will happen this year. Nobody
will take any FCS team lightly after last week's results.
I've heard this one a few times today but I can't stop laughing...New NCAA record for the Cougars on Saturday. Virginia punts 13 times and
still wins.Enough said
