    There are not many young people in this world who would give up 18 months to 2 years of in the prime of their life to serve others in a way they believe God wants them to. Even if you think religion is hogwash, there is something amazing about so many youth willing to make this selfless sacrifice.

    And those that make belittling comments on every positive LDS article are like moths to a flame. They cannot -not- say something. Instead of flying away and leading a happy life they feel compelled to constantly burn themselves in an attempt to put other people's beliefs down.

    Missionaries are nice people. But they take way too many risks nowadays.

    I do not want to tear down their efforts. I just don't want to see them get hurt. I don't want to have to read stories of dead or injured missionaries.

    There are many ways to better protect missionaries. Let's use them.
