This is one position where it should just be assumed that utah would reload.
While I doubt tenny is as good as star, that was some good hyperbole though, it
would surprise me greatly if utah did not have some good defensive linemen that
have just been waiting for their turn.
Good point Duckhunter, I think the same can be said about BYU's D-Line with
Utes will always be good at CB & Dline. They seem to recruit well at those
positions. If I were a Utah fan my concern would be at the LB position. They
will need some people to step up at that position especially against the Oregon,
Arizona, and UCLA offenses they will face. Good luck utes.
Cougsndawgs:Couldn't agree more, linebackers are my biggest
concern going into this season especially with the news of Blechen's
tendinitis still lingering. It looks like we had a good LB transfer from Miami
but unless Miami gets handed sanctions he won't eligible to play til next
year. I am a little concerned with CB this year because of the inexperience of
both of the projected starters. What group concerns you the most with the Cougs?
Steel:"What group concerns you the most with the Cougs?"That's easy, the O-line. I was at BYUs practice/scrimmage today and they
look like good players, and were able to keep up with the high tempo, but there
were holding calls, false starts and a lot of polish needed. I'm a bit
concerned about our boundary corner position as well, but both guys fighting for
playing time at that position performed well today. Always enjoy reasonable
discussion, thanks steel. Cheers.
Cougsndawgs:anytime my friend, here's to a healthy and injury-free
season for both teams.
I feel like I went to sleep and woke up in a parallel universe, filled with
civil and informative comments from Red and Blue fans alike. I like this
universe.BTW, I think Utah fans should be concerned about their
running game...while the OL may improve, losing John White is a big loss. And for Y fans, I think the kicking game is the biggest risk.
