"Ziggy Ansah Scoring That first touchdown was probably one if the coolest things I have ever seen at a lions game"

Poor guy is a Lions fan. Must not be much action with his team. Good play, but can't possibly be the best play in the last few years. I hope he outclasses Suh and shows him how to be a good person and a good player at the same time.

It was Sanchez who threw the ball.

Wow great hands for a big man! Maybe he should play both sides of the ball!

I bet that star picked off 4 passes for TDs. After all he is a 4 star player.
Nice work Ziggy. You make the Cougar Nation proud.

So, this is probably the first TD Ziggy has ever scored.

Extremely happy for Ansah, that was an awesome way to start his career and I get the feeling he'll continue to be a fun player to watch.

Now back to more important things ... Go Utes!

How is Mark Sanchez still in the NFL? let alone the starter?

Funny you'd say that. Imagine, with his speed and strength, putting him into "Fridge" situations inside the 5 as a blocking/carrying fullback...scary.

I did notice in the clip how he was the slowest off the line. Better work on that, Ezekiel.

I'm pumped for him to have earned this possibility, and think it's a cool story.

Guy is a BEAST!!! Always has been, always will be. I just wish he'd started football sooner... Then we could have had more than 2/3rds of a year with him!

    Go get 'em Ziggy!!

Nice play, fun to watch. As far as making him an instant star? Slow down, this is preseason. This play will be forgotten by 95% of NFL fans by September 8 when the Vikings come to Detroit. Hopefully he will start creating a name for himself then, this does little more than adding to the potential he has as a very gifted athlete.

StGtoSLC is right. It is the first NFL pre-season game. It doesn't even count. It is not his first start. His start will be when he is on the field on opening day.

If he played college for a prestigious BCS program he would have had 3 int's instead of one. But he only had one because he played for a non-elite, non-prestigious program like BYU. That's a shame, he could have been so much better...ain't that right Chris B.?

I wonder what Ziggy would be had he played several years for BYU. He is a freak of athletic nature, that is for sure.

In other news, Carolina Panthers fans are happy with Star's first performance. He was drawing double teams, and plugging holes.

The byu "fans" rush the field cause ziggy made a play in a preseason game. lol.

Some of you ought to give a little more credit where credit is do. Try to realize that there's a little more to this than being "just a preseason game."
The first quarter of a preseason game usually has most of the 1's going against the other teams' 1's. In other words, yeah, it was a pretty awesome interception/TD.

    But I digress... Go Utes!

The ankle-biters just don't give up do they? The jealousy rages and the stupid comments come out when something that all sports fans should easily smile upon.

Ziggy has an accomplishment, gets a headline and people bash or minimize it.

    I pity you folks.

one way you can tell the difference between BYU fans and Utah fans is whether they charge the field before or after the play actually ends.

The best way to tell the difference between a Utah and a byu fan is by whose team won the game.

    8 of 11...3 in row.

You have scoreboard for the last three years. We shall see who has it for the next three.

I say, your string has run it's course. And this year, without even the opportunity to celebrate a victory over the rival you theoretically have gotten past, this will be a truly dismal year in the cellar of the PAC whatever.

Tell us this. Where have the Ute football team placed in the final national polls compared to BYU and USU the last two years? crickets, crickets, crickets, etc. etc.

Ute trolls place their value on one game instead of a whole season. Final national rankings do not. That is a hint ekute.

For sure, for the Utes, the BYU game will be their bowl game once again.

    MacNasty,

Make sure you bring them "Final national rankings" to the game so you can go hide behind them...again...After the Utes put another beating on the cougars...again.

    Go Utes!

His early success in the NFL is no surprise. Ziggy has exceptional raw talent and should have an amazing career! Happy for him! If you haven't seen his Pro Day, my seventeen year old son, Lincoln, filmed Ziggy's Pro Day at BYU, neversleepstudio on YouTube, also very impressive. So much talent! It is nice to see any Utah College send players to the Pros.

    Re: ekute @ 9:25 am

You did not answer the question ekute. Where did your Utes place in the final national polls the last two years (your tenure as a PAC12 placeholder)?

    Once again, crickets, crickets, crickets

BTW: I don't bring anything, I am just a Cougar supporter. The BYU team will bring national recognition, a national championship and a football legacy; and since you like bringing up the past, the team will bring 17 final rankings compared to the Utes' puny 5.

    MacNasty,

Your still hiding behind your bottom of the top 25 national rankings due to weak wacish schedules. Why don't you bring your team out so they can see what it's really like to play with the big boys and win, ie: 2 BCS victories, ie: Beat Utah, and get a real taste for national recognition, ie: major conference membership.

You are becoming more frantic and emotional by the post. The ONLY thing Utah has to boast of in RECENT history (because the only thing POSSIBLY relevant to THIS year is LAST year) is a last second victory over your WACish, inferior formal rival that somehow you just can't get past and you can't help comparing yourself to.

Sad news for you: the rest of the BCS world recognizes that the bottom half of a BCS conference is not, by birthright, better than the top half of the rest of the football universe. The rest of the people whose opinions count have regularly voted BYU a perennial top 25 team.

If you could just win even half of your conference games, U could go to a bowl too.
