Why don't they make it a multi-use complex - include Football, Rugby, and
Lacrosse. Maybe that would lessen the sting of taxpayer money going to a single
use sports complex.
Because the local pro SOCCER team is paying for over 1/3 of it. They can use
their money for whatever they feel like. Why would a pro SOCCER team pay for
football, rugby, and lacrosse fields?
Maybe just maybe because 2/3 is still > than '1/3'...That's
why the PUBLIC TAX PAYING two-thirds should expect MULTIUSE, just sayin'
Except that without the 1/3 from the SOCCER team, the project wouldn't
happen at all. The mayor's office said that multiple times in their
financial due diligence. So when you're dependent on the generosity of a
private business - who will get nothing in return for their generosity - to make
the project happen, they can kind of dictate what they want.And
there are three baseball fields as part of the complex, which I can't
believe RSL was OK with, so spare me the whining about how this isn't a

funded. So I disagree with the fact that RSL got nothing in return for this.
