@There You Go Again--please explain why you say no. Do you have some
info, or is it just a feeling?
The democrat controlled states and cities will crumble, but places like Texas
the vast majority of pensions including government are severely underfunded.
Additionally other post employment benefits are in the same state. Detroit is
just one of many that will file for bankruptcy. Several have already
Places that have banked on liberal policies will fail and have in huge numbers
by comparison. 10+ for the blue states0 for the red
states.....Detroit is a perfect example as is California and several
cities there....Chicago and New York are just steps behind
Other cities may not be exactly like Detroit, but many have similar problems
that will hurt them if they don't make changes soon. Having too generous of
contracts for public employees will prove to be unsustainable to more cities
where the better paying jobs have been removed. Alongside of the failure to
replace infrastructure when it should be instead of waiting until it fails will
prove too much for many more cities that may be smaller than Detroit and
dependent on 2 or 3 major employers for the tax dollars to keep them afloat as

Public sector benefits are crippling all government budgets. Decades of
collective bargaining without any adversary have led to systems we cannot

only difference is that the feds can simply print more money. Washington DC is
Boomtown USA.Early on in Obama's first term he funneled stimulus
money to states and school districts in order to mask the problem, but it only
resulted in another round of contracts even more bloated. The money was eaten up
almost immediately.States like Utah have weaker union influence and will
fare far better than states like Illinois with $100 BILLION in unfunded pension
liabilities and no viable political solution.
Blue states will all have the "blues". We know the reasons why by now.
Lets protect our state rights and shrink the demonic, bloated federal system.
Unfortunately we do not have a President who will take charge of his
