Miss the days of Flintstone lunch boxes, a thermos, with peanut butter/jelly
sandwiches.The days when we did things for ourselves.
Is this the end of School Lunch Obesity?
I'm just pulling this number out of the air, but I'd guess fewer than
5% of parents pore over their kids' school lunch nutritional info. Sorry;
if you've got that much time on your hands, get a job or read a good
book.The unaddressed question is "are the kids eating the more
nutritious parts of their meal?" I've had lunch with my kids at school
a number of times, and there seems to be a ton of veggies going straight into
the trash in those lunchrooms. You can put something on a kid's plate, but
the lunch monitor isn't going to force them to eat it.
If each food stamp feeds three, and our children are eating at school.Over half our people either don't know how to prepare meals, or just
can't a way to find food.Is our country being transformed into
a third world country?
Scary when our country can't feed itself.
