Tough break for pitta, had a good season last year Does this mean
ziggy is the only byu player to graduate the last 10 years who will actually
play in the nfl this year?
there are plenty of BYU grads who still play, just not the big play makers that
Pitta was. Collie will be on a team this year, no doubt. hopefully he will stay
injury free this year. Wish you a speedy recovery Pitta! Go Cougs!
Very disappointing news indeed! Just when things are beginning to click in his
career something horrible happened. So sad! Hope he has a speedy recovery.
This sounds eerily similar to Collie's situation. Unfortunate bad breaks
for both of them. Hope we haven't heard the last of either of them.
That's the Pitt's!!!A walk on that made it to the big time
because he walked the walk and talked the talk of Bronco's Sunday School
Boy's focus. (And no the NFL is not the Big time).Pitta will be fine
because making it in the NFL is just another step in his progression and not the
end as some would believe.Best of Lord's blessings be with you
Dennis.Get better soon and I look forward to more success in your life.
I'm sorry to hear this news. Hopefully he'll recover fully from this
Poor guy, he will probably need hip replacement surgery when he is in his
50's. It is a pretty high price to be an NFL player.
Dennis Pitta is the epitome of everything that could be right with the NFL. He
is a great example of going from a walk-on, at BYU, all the way to becoming a
starter in the NFL. I hope he has a complete recovery.
I am reminded of Bo Jackson's hip injury (dislocation) that destroyed his
NFL career and severely limited his MLB career. But a fractured hip!
A comeback from that is very unlikely. Say goodbye to Pitta...
As a Dolphins & Utes fan, I hope Dennis recovers quickly. If Adrian Peterson
& Drew Brees can return anything is possible.I root for the
Ravens because the rest of that division is evil or plays their home games in
Tough break. No doubt he'll hang in there and come back as strong as ever
next year. That injury sounds particularly painful though -- and
probably will be for quite a while as it heals.
This is terrible news about Pitta, I hope he recovers quickly and is able to
resume his playing career next season.
wow...what a bummer. He was set to have a breakout season too. Heal quickly

@Chris BNot cool, Chrissy. There's a time and place for smack,
and a time to lay low. The event of a severe player injury falls into the
latter category, hon. For every article where smack doesn't fly real well,
there's another 99 where it's fine. This would have been a judicious
time to let the smack ride, and thus avoid entering a conversation rear-end
first. Your choice, of course, but perhaps worth your consideration -- this
ain't your finest moment.
Tough break for Pitta. He is a great tight end and I admire his talent. The
Ravens had magic last year and struck gold. Looks like they are falling back to
earth this year, unfortunately. Here's to a speedy and
complete recovery! Please, people, ignore Chris B!
