Hilarious, I'd pay to see that. Wonder if Donny was wearing purple socks?
Bet he sang alto after the hit.
Real classy move by John Neal. He's got a chip on his shoulder and decides
to take a cheap shot at a receiver who isn't expecting any defenders to
challenge him. I can see why this was one of the few times anyone saw LaVell
I wonder if he would have tackled a girl?
@The RockIf she was trying to be a football player I'm sure he
How dare he? This is not George Plimpton we are talking about here---it's
Donny! He is a little bit rock and roll and a whole lotta magic in the state of
Utah and I don't want to hear about some unknown giving him a cheap shot.
What if you would have hit him in his talent bone? If anybody is going to be
giving the business to Donny, I'd prefer it be Danny Bonaduce and it better
be in the ring and for a good charity!
Total cheap shot. No class. I'm sure he was very proud of that.
Agreed - that was lame. I was at BYU during those days and there were a lot of
people that railed on the Osmonds. They had a big studio out in Orem and Neal
probably thought it funny. But the truth is it is not. Donny has always been
good to the State and to BYU. This is one story that when told
should be recognized for what it is - a lesser moment in BYU football
history.BYU football is far from perfect and there are many tales
from the past that do not reflect who we would like to believe we are. But in this case the Desnews makes it sound like Neal is impressive for
not letting anyone come across the middle. Not cool.
Funny! I think for once it added realism to Donny's acting abilities.
