True it is not currently active, but many local Saints hope some day it will be
The Mormon Handcart Pageant in Nephi, Utah--also currently inactive--featured
recorded Tabernacle Choir music. Also, the nativity pageant held on the lawn
north of the Provo Tabernacle (Soon to be the Provo City Center Temple) had some
recorded music. And don't forget the performances of "Promised
Valley," done East of the Salt Lake City Temple, as well as throughout the
stakes of the church, in the 1960's. There have been many smaller pageants
done in the past by stakes, regions, and groups of families, some featuring
music, others not.
If you want to put it together and call it a show do one in vegas. Lots of stage
space; plenty of mormons and you can offer two free drinks with a ticket; no one
will ever take 'em up on one during intermission. Put it out there, and see
if truth will prevail, or will it be Shania Twain and Celine Dion? Love those
