America always needs good people. But credit him for thinking his country--in a troubled area of the world--might need them more.

This article is very superficial, repeating the few items which have been published before. Should readers not deserve a better analysis of Mali's present complex and fragile situation? as well as an honest assessment of Samake's chances? Google "A Mormon Moment in Mali?" + van Beek.

Whether Mr. Samake has a chance or not is not relevant. What's important is that he's making an effort to help lift his country and his people out of a life of poverty and despair. If people want to help him that's wonderful but if not, then please stay away and don't criticize. We don't need to know any more that Mali and Mr. Samake needs our help. It's time to put up or shut up.

I have read previous articles about Bro. Samake. What an incredible example he is to all of us. He is someone who is truly following the Saviour's example to love his neighbor as himself.
