Why do I feel like I stepped into the Andy Griffith show?
I think it is good she found a market for such things. But,.....what about
wearing blue jeans? Does a woman need to wear a dress to the park?
She makes it sound like she doesn't have a choice of what to wear and when
she can wear it. If you have problems playing with your kids while wearing a
dress, wear pants, or get a longer dress. It doesn't seem too hard to
me.I am happy for her that she was able to do something that works for
Im beginning to understand. My wife got a new dress for her birthday and wore it
for the first time last Sunday. This dress was somewhat similar to these. She
wouldnt change after we got home from church. She felt beautiful and said it was
so much more comfortable than jeans or shorts. She even slept in it for her
Sunday afternoon nap. She glowed that day. :) She felt like she could play with
the kids like she always does but that she actually got to dress up. Anything I
can do to make my wife feel beautiful and still feel that she can do all she
needs to be the mom she wants to be is awesome! Yes, jeans, shorts, capris,
sweats? They are all great and have their place, but if that is all you ever end
up wearing outside of a few hours a week, from my observations, women start to
feel plain, less beautiful, and their identity of who they really are starts to
diminish. Lets give our wives and mothers every opportunity to feel as beautiful
as they really are, whenever they want to be. I support Sonnet James! Thank you!
@ iheartcupcakeslc, I think I get it a bit. I'm a father, and I have to
wear a button up and slacks each day to "look professional" for my job.
So, when I zip home for lunch and my girls ask me to do spider with them on the
swings...the dilemma begins. My instincts say "YES!" but then I look
down at my button up and designer jeans and usually reply with, "Why
don't I just push you really high?!" I still feel like I'm being a
good father, but it's a bit crazy that I'd pass on an opportunity to
play on the swings with my girls because I need to "look good" at work
(I wish I could wear basketball shorts!). I say good luck Lundeen, and all the
best! I LOVE this idea and already backed the project!
I love this idea! Get up, wash my face and pull on a dress then grab my kids and
go! I live in Phoenix and the idea of wearing jeans @vladhagen makes my legs
sweat just thinking about it. I can't wear denim 6 months out of the year.
But I feel like all i wear is t-shirts and maxi skirts. Yes, I am at the park,
running errands, etc all day, then have to change again when i get home if i
want to go out with my hubby. It would be nice to wear one outfit all day and
not have to change so much! I could even wear these to the gym (before &
after of course). Plus i am a nursing mom and some of these necklines work great
for nursing. Most v-neck t-shirts won't even stretch like modal does. (and
i emailed SJ about creating a nursing dress in her line too). I have backed the
project and hope this funds so i can get my dress! (watch out Tempe folks, you
may see me wearing it EVERYDAY)
