More 3 stars recruits with other BCS offers!Other schools in Utah
only wish they were getting such recruits. And if you think stars
don't matter, Nick Saban disagrees with you.Go Utes!
Can never have too many athletes with speed.
Looks like a beast. Welcome aboard big fella.
Our Pac 12 membership opens up recruiting in a big way. Some schools
are limited mainly to logan and 2 star recruits. Some schools are
limited to church boys and 1-2 star recruits. Some schools win BCS
bowls, EARN invites to a real conference, and are simply better than other
schools. These schools have higher average star ratings than other schools. And yes, stars matter. In a big way.Its been proven more 5
stars succeed than 4, 4 than 3, 3 than 2, and 2 than 1.GO Utes!GO Utes!
Nice get for the Utes! This kid looks like a solid QB with great upside and
potential. I've been really impressed with QB recruiting at the U the past
few seasons. Now it's just the development factor, which is where KWhitt
and BJ have fallen short. In any case, this is a great pick-up. Now let's
see if U can hold onto this one :)
Sounds like a talented kid. Had an offer from Miami. Not often you see a
Louisiana boy pick Utah over an ACC team. Guess he didn't want "Played
for Miami" on his police report. We are excited to see what he can do here.
The more and more we recruit OUT of Utah the better. In today's
game, its all about power and speed. With Utah's demographics,
those two things are simply lacking for the most part. The Poly community helps
with the power. We should continue to use the Poly Pipeline, but other than
that, we need to leave Utah as much as possible for recruiting. How
many slow unathletic church boys do you see Florida, Alabama, USC, Ohio State
going after?Yes, there will always be 2-3 worth going after.
However they are the exception.
Welcome to the Ute Nation. We look forward to seeing you compete for a spot and
play against top notch talent each week. Onward and upward!
Welcome to the tribe. Excited to see what you can do in Utah´s system. As a
QB in the PAC-12, you will get a lot of exposure nationally from the conference
Meh. Call me after he signs a LOI, then maybe I'll get excited. A lot can
happen between now and February...to every verbal commit of every school.
christyRemind us the last time one of your many-starred recruits won
a national individual award of any kind.
And he will still get to spend the holidays at home with his family every year.
It does make it easier to recruit those out of state players when they know they
can go home between semesters and spend the holidays with friends and family. It
must surely cut down on the homesickness, and is a great selling point for the
football program as well. I guess that makes it a win-win for everyone. However,
it does put the other programs in the state at a bit of a disadvantage not
having that selling point. I suppose they will just have to make due.
He looks huge! wow.
@Chris BYou and the BYU zealots are really no different. You both
still claim big victories over things that don't involve actual on field
wins. You have to resort to things like recruiting, TV money, etc. Everything
except winning actual games. It's just so sad!
@Little brother,Still living in the past I see.LOL!I care about Ute football today more than I care about 1984. So does
the rest of the world. I invite you to join the rest of us who left
1984 30 years ago.Today we own you on the football field. We're dominating you in recruiting(including with head to head
recruits)We're dominating you in reaching prestigious bowlsAnd we're dominating in the race to a real conference.Today you have countless 1 and 2 stars(who aren't winning any individual
awards)We have 3 stars while we're continuing to improve in a
very tough conference.
We can talk when you win a national championship. Or we can talk at the Legends
Grill staring at the National Championship Trophy.
Watched his video. His mechanics are horrible.
A big stud QB who throws the football like a baseball. Better get the coaches
working on his throwing motion, what he's doin now will never cut it in
Good to see you won a recruiting battle with Louisianna Tech and Tulane!LOL!Go Cougs!
@Chris BWell your 3 and 4 star "studs" haven't won any
more awards than our 1 and 2 star "duds" for the most part it seems to
be the other way around!LOL!
I'll bet he can throw a football over the Wasatch Mountains.
Oh yeah! This kid will be a key component in bringing the National Championship
trophy to SLC! Count on it!!!We will run the table with the
recruits we are bringing in!
Any player can succeed if they have the desire and opportunity regardless of how
someone rates them.If he officially signs with Utah that would be great!
Would open up the door to his friends and associates in the SEC.
Probably not that good if the top program in his home state, LSU, hasn't
offered and other SEC and ACC teams haven't shown much interest.
canadiancougar,He has an offer from Miami.Ever heard of
Yball,Well your 3 and 4 star "studs" haven't won any
more awards than our 1 and 2 star "duds" Our 3 and 4 stars
own your 1 and 2 star choir boys on the field!LOL
I haven't on these boards this year, now I remember why. Absolutely rotten
with willfully ignorant Utah haters. I love all the half truths being thrown
out as insults "Good to see you won a recruiting battle with Louisianna Tech
and Tulane!" errrrr and Miami? Not to mention who else will/would have made
offers by the end of next season. Don't forget, this kid is not even a
senior yet! It's a solid commitment from a player with great
potential. Star's don't mean everything, but they are a good overall
indicator of a recruiting class' strength. I like to see big guys like
this, who can develop skills, to compliment their size.
A 6-5, 235-lbs dual-threat QB on the Hill? Yes please! Of course
with Isom being a native Louisianan, we'll have to hope LSU doesn't
pursue him any further. Apart from them (and MAYBE Nebraska), there
shouldn't be too much in the way of keeping him committed to the Utes.canadianIndyWACer624:"Good to see you won a recruiting
battle with Louisianna [sic] Tech and Tulane!...LOL!"What a
frantic and emotional thing to say. Those 2 other school may have offered, but
I wouldn't say we "won [any] recruiting battle[s]" against them.
With an offer from the Miami Hurricanes, it's not as if he was seriously
considering those other 2 midmajorey programs. We beat out Miami."LOL"
@ Christy BThis kid runs over a 5 second 40 yd dash, not eactly what
I would call speed. He should fit in good in the Ute quarterback stable. Good
luck Utah and your upcoming 3-9 season
Welcome Donovan to the Ute Nation!Great job BJ for getting this
recruit!Go UTES!! P.S. Donovan please ignore BYU fans
like Black&Blue, the fact is the fans from "QB factory down south"
are just jealous that KW has put more high school QB's in the NFL than BYU
has since Chow left.
Hate to tell you Canadian but he had an offer from Miami and unofficialed to LSU
Monday. But lets not give all the true details LOL
@obsessed with y's big brother. Those awards were difference

He's big. Anyone wanna bet he winds up playing defense?
"He's big. Anyone wanna bet he winds up playing defense?" Ala Paul
Kruger? That would be rough!
Well if he does switch to defense he would be in great company... Paul Kruger
was recruited as a QB and became.... An awesome NFL Defensive player
@Chris B: Miami? You mean the team that is on probation? That has
too many off the field issues to count? That hasn't been relevant for
years? Yeah, I have, but it's not much to compete against. U still have a
chance of going to a bowl game, slim as it may be but Miami does not!LOL!
@magna uteI'm not knocking him, I know nothing about him other
than that highlight film. But he looks huge and if I had to guess he'll get
bigger. I wouldn't be surprised if he winds up playing defense based on
that and the fact utah moves a lot of "qb" recruits to defense. I expect
to see Chase Hansen playing defense as well.

class in all but one of the last 15+ classes despite the sanctions, with over 50
players in the NFL now."That hasn't been relevant for

@ Ys Little BrotherYou really going to go there with one of Utahs BCS
season only having three teams with winning records on the schedule? Don't
forget BYUs national championship team did not win the national championship,
they were awarded it. The best thing to come from that, was that college
football has made sure that a team that was clearly not the best team in the
country will never be awarded another national championship. That team
wasn't even the best team that BYU ever had, and none of those teams were
ever the best team in the country.Lastly, if BYU is better than
Utah, how come you can't beat us anymore? I'll give it up, through
the late 70s and certainly through the 80s, BYU owned Utah. However, Utah is
clearly a better football program today.
Since this is an article about U recruiting, maybe some posts relating to the
article would be interesting.I am just giving my opinion so
hopefully the DN moderator will approve and not making a personal attack on
anyone, again just my opinion.Chris B. doesn't speak for U fans
and while some of those posts make me laugh, I dislike most of them.
Unfortunately several Y fans take the bait every time and feel a need to
reply.Y's little brother makes the same post over and over
again comparing the Y to the U (an conveniently forgets to make any comment
about BCS bowls or players in the NFL for each school). For me, these are posts
are on par with those from Chris B - redundant and designed to annoy people. For once, I agree with Duckhunter. This kid looks like he might end up
playing defense for the U. Nice to see him make an unbiased post that
doesn't compare the two schools. I hope Utah can keep this young man
committed and he turns into a future starter regardless of position.
@Y's little brotherIn it's history BYU maybe has 2 or 3
actual on-field victories against legitimate big time competition...Absent big time victories the Cougar Nation is left to boast about awards that
were conferred by virtue of votes. You know... VOTES.... kind of like
the way figure skating winners are determined...And those votes are
the product of BYU's performances against 2nd and 3rd tier competition.Cougar Nation may boast all they want about their voted glory....
It's what they do because they've got no real on-field glory to talk

their meager list of national accomplishments.Absent a legitimate

Howard S.It's strange how Utah fans use wins against
"ranked" teams to legitimize their 2008 season, yet those same Utah fans
claim that BYU's #1 ranking in 1984 isn't legitimate.Even
stranger when you consider that one of Utah's 2008 wins against a
"ranked" team was versus #25 BYU.What rationale do you use
for deciding which rankings are legitimate, and which aren't?
Howard S.PROVE that Utah's "success" wasn't
"the product of success against 2nd and 3rd tier competition."Using a conference invitation to "prove" Utah's
"legitimacy" is laughable. Colorado, 21-40, the previous
five seasons, was invited to the PAC before U, and Maryland, 25-37, and Rutgers,
39-25, the previous five seasons, were both invited to the B1G since then,
proving that television markets, not accomplishments on the grid iron, are the
overwhelming driving force in conference expansion. It's time
for Utah fans to stop pretending that Utah's football
"accomplishments" were even a factor, let alone, the reason, for
Utah's invitation to the PAC 12.
@SportsFanBYU beat no team that was ranked by any poll at the end of
the 1984 season... that fact kind of speaks for itself on the weak schedule BYU
played that year.
Howard S.Utah's victory was against an unmotivated Alabama team
that was missing one of its best players and had nothing to play for after being
eliminated from the national championship picture.BYU's victory

absolute toughest, as well!

whether Utah's victory was 5 years or 25 years ago? NONE of the key players
on Utah's 2008 team are still playing for the U.If you're
looking for relevancy, BYU has beaten #18/#18 Utah and #16/#17 Utah State since
2008. Who have U beaten, unranked/#25 BYU? Ironically,
in trying to prove Utah's current relevancy, you're forced to either
accept BYU's greater relevancy, or accept that Utah's only legitimate
win, since joining the PAC, was irrelevant.
Great, Great get for the Utes. Especially when you see who they beat out. I love
all the jealous BYU fans. I love how they jump in their time machine and try to
compare them selfs to Utah. Envy and jealousy is a horrible thing. GO UTES!
I forgot to ask, what was '90 2-Star byu's final SOS ranking, just so
we can make absolutely certain we have all relevant factors on the table in
comparing '08 U/'90 2-Star byu. If I remember correctly, The U's
final SOS ranking in '08 was at #31, 1 spot ahead of Alabama's!
In '08, Alabama sat at #1 in the nation for 1 1/2 months, as well!
@redfeatherReally... No one left from 2008... How many are left from
1990?Funny...But here is the deal Mr. redfeather...I don't have to justify Utah's relevance to point out the fact
that the Cougars have very few on-field victories in its history to support the
high regard in which they hold themselves.Nor do I have to justify
Utah's relevance to observe that all of BYU voted glory is the product of
success against 2nd and 3rd tier competition.
Oh, and I love the video... Isom seems smart, composed, accurate, and strong...
not to mention big. He'll be a great Ute.
The endless dredging up of old stats on these boards. Who cares? How is it
relevant today? If you get beat, you get beat. It doesn't matter if you can
regurgitate a million facts and figures to show how great your program once was.
YOU STILL GOT BEAT! So for every dig BYU fans want to take at Utah, it is
a dig at yourselves. You are bashing a team that beats you year in and year out.
Period. Congrats on your past accomplishments and your ancient awards. And
Welcome to 2013.
AZUTE1"The U's final SOS ranking in '08 was among the
nation's absolute toughest, as well!"Who says so?Sagarin only ranked Utah's 2008 SOS #56 and the Utes only finished #5 in

you're willing to admit that UNLV(2-10) was better than Utah in 2007 and

@howie"undeniably the product of 2nd and 3rd tier
competition."What does that say about utah which couldn't
get it done at all against that exact same competition?I seldom
participate in the "accomplishment" competitions on here but you really
are the least logical of all the posters in these contests. utah did absolutely
nothing against what you call "2nd and 3rd tier competition", frankly
utah was the "2nd and 3rd tier competition" BYU feasted on. In reality
utah has done next to nothing of consequence on the national stage, very few
conference championships, almost never ranked, no national awards, almost
nothing at all to talk about, and nothing anyone outside of this state is even
aware of.Yes I know that will elicit howls of indignation from a
bunch of you utah "fans" but it is 100% true. Congratulations on being
invited to a better conference than you were in but that isn't really an
accomplishment now is it? Comparing nationally relevant accomplishments between
these schools cannot even be done, there is no comparison BYU wins it hands
down. But all that matters now is what happens from here. My money is
Sorry to burst your crimson-colored bubble, but BYU's national championship
run included FIVE Top 12 finishes from 1979 to 1984 and a 24-game winning streak
that including TWO road wins against Top 13 teams in 1983 and a road win versus
Air Force(8-4), which finished #24 in the final 1984 AP poll, plus a convincing
win over Utah in RES.
Now lets play nice lil kids, shall we?
Chris B - "I care about Ute football today more than I care about 1984. So
does the rest of the world."That's the easy thing to say
when you've never won a National Championship. Go to Texas Memorial
Stadium (Longhorns) and U will see the banner still proudly displayed from their
1947 National Championship.
Wow! To beat out Tulane and South Alabama for a recruit is impressive indeed!
Howard S.If BYU's 1984 CONSENSUS National Championship is...
"ancient history... and undeniably the product of 2nd and 3rd tier
competition..."What do you call Utah's 1944 NCAA
championship, won in the 2nd rate tournament of the day and in the most
watered-down NCAA tournament in history? If 1984 is "ancient
history," what does that make 1944???If Pittsburgh,
Utah, Utah St, Air Force, Tulsa, Hawaii, Colorado State, New Mexico, UTEP,
Wyoming, SDSU, and Michigan are 2nd and 3rd tier competition, what
does that make Kearns, Weber, Dow Chemical, Ecker Studio, and the Wendover
Bombers???The inconsistency of Utah fans is truly astounding.BYU won a CONSENSUS National Championship in 1984.NOBODY
recognized what Utah did in 1944 as anything more than an NCAA tournament
championship, in the least competitive NCAA tournament in history.
Congratulations to this young man. While at Utah, maybe he will join the
church, decide to serve a mission and really change his life for the good.
I can't believe how obsessed ute "fans" are about utah recruiting.
@ Ed GradyNice job of hand picking teams. I noticed you forgot to
mention LSU, Cincinnati and Miami. Now that's curious; but very typical.@ ErnestWho's obsessed with who? Look at the BYU fans
pulling out the time capsule arguement. Trolling the Utah articles, taking shots
and trying to justify their teams existence. Just because Utah beat's BYU
and out recruits them year after year is no reason to get all bent out of shape.
Then again, maybe it is.
deepblue--"BYU beat Air Force(8-4), which finished #24 in the

the final 2004 AP poll."Where does unranked '84 AF stack-up
against '08 Alabama, '08 TCU and '08 Oregon State?
Ed,Seriously, do we need to do this again? "Wow! To beat out Tulane
and South Alabama for a recruit is impressive indeed!" Its true, that's
not very impressive, but to beat out Miami on the other hand...
killarney,Who brought up 1944? I have never seen a Utah fan Brag about
1944, I have only seen Ute fans knowledge that it happened. Also, where
you a big basketball fan then? Because you certainly act like you were their.
Congrats on being able to use a computer so well.

PG#1FAN "Good work Utes, he could never qualify academically to go anywhere
else, especially BYU."Slander.
PG #1 FAN, is it worth mentioning that one of the first schools to begin
recruiting him was UPenn?
BYU logic: He had offers to Tulane and some other small schools, so he's
clearly not any good. Let's completely disregard the offer to Miami who has
won many national and conference championsips and has many players in the NFL,
and we can disregard his offer to Utah even though they have multiple BCS
championships and also have many players in the NFL. (Many more than BYU has)
Remember he hasn't even played his senior season yet, I guarantee their are
more offers to come, will he still be considered a scrub if suddenly BYU offers
him? What if LSU, or Alabama, Or USC were to offer him? Would they suddenly be
"No name schools" too?

about 1944..."Who are you kidding? Utah fans are constantly
bragging about their basketball "national championship" that really
wasn't.As far as "being there", Utah fans are
constantly citing Utah's overall head-to-head advantage over BYU, despite
the fact that most of Utah's wins came in the pre-color television era,
before most those Utah fans were born.
TheSportsAuthority--"The truth is, the PAC 12 had a down year in
2011 and the Utes were so pathetic that they couldn't beat a 10-loss
Colorado team to claim a gift-wrapped PAC south."Was this during
the same season 2-Star byu got annihilated by this "so pathetic" team on
their homefield, 54-10?"In 2012, the PAC simply returned to
normal and the Utes were exposed as the bottom dwelling, conference punching bag
that objective fans expected the Utes to be when they joined that PAC."Yet, 2-Star byu has lost both times they played against this "bottom
dwelling, conference punching bag", once on their homefield to the tune of
54-10.Furthermore, 2-Star byu is 2-3 against PAC-12 teams, beating
only 2 teams literally finishing at the bottom of the conference standings and
getting absolutely brutally curb-stomped on their homefield by the only 2 which
finished the season w/a winning record, to the tune of 96-34.The 5th
game was yet another loss to The U.Next.

ducky-Both the Sugar Bowl and the Fiesta Bowl list the winners of
their games as "champions". And. both the Sugar Bowl and the Fiesta
Bowl ARE actually BCS bowl games (not that byU "fans" would ever know).
AND Utah has won the Fiesta Bowl and the Sugar Bowl, thus "champions" of
the Fiesta and Sugar bowls, thus BCS championships, just like every other school
that has won a BCS bowl (not that byU does or ever will know what that feels
like). Now, if he had said multiple BCS "National" Championships, then
you would be correct.Come on, ducky, do we have to do ALL the heavy

and how it works anyway? But thanks, once again, for declaring your love for
Utah by posting on this story!Where is Fangupo?Go Utes!!

VegasUteThat's the best you can do, some convoluted argument
that because the Fiesta and Sugar Bowl call their winners champions and
they're both "bcs" bowls, that makes Utah a two-time "bcs"

VegasUteIt's laughable that Utah fans are still using BYU as
their metric of success. While BYU measures success in overall
records and Top 25 finishes, our little brothers continue to judge their entire
by how they did against BYU. Not much has changed for the PAC 12 Utes. In fact,
its as if the Utes never left the WAC. Just like the vast majority of
Utah's time in the WAC, BYU is once again Utah's bowl game. The worm
will be turning in a few weeks, and you won't even have a September bowl
game winning feather to put in your cap, or headband. The only fish
you should be concerned about is that tiny one swimming with the PAC 12 sharks.

scott:"The worm will be turning in a few weeks"I
agree. But the worm that will be turning is the byU schedule. Although your
2013 schedule is still MUCH easier than Utah's, I guess it can still be
considered a big boy schedule. It certainly is the hardest byU has ever played.
I don't know how they are going to do without a succession of Idaho, Idaho
St, New Mexico, New Mexico St, Hawaii, etc to fill in their November schedule.
Take heart, though, you still have Idaho St and Mid TN st.Thanks for
coming on a Utah story about a Utah recruit to talk about how obsessed Utah is
with byU. We thank you for your support and your love for Utah!Go
With his size and speed, he should be a good linebacker or TE at the U. I will
all depend on whether he can catch.
If a SEC University makes an offer to this kid he won't be signing any LOIs
with Utah... Take that to the bank... If he does sign, he will play on the
"D" side of the ball, count on it...I get a chuckle out of
some of these posts... azutie is all hung up on stars and that seems like all he
can talk about... "we have so many stars more than BYU recruits"... Does
it really matter??? What sense does it make to beat your chest over your school
having a few more stars for the past 3 years when every PreSeason College
Football Magazine out there that lists a "Power Ranking" have BYU
anywhere from 25 to 30 rating places higher than the team that you beating your
chest about??? It tells me that stars really don't matter to those making
preseason assessments of the strength of a given team. In addition, every
Preseason Football Magazine that I have seen this year who predict wins and
losses on an FBS schedule have BYU over Utah...

Gotta love the childish lower-case spelling of BYU that some bloggers have
resorted to, since their usually weak and irrational arguments aren't up to
the task of winning any serious debate. When it comes to ranking
teams each season, final rankings are the final word. It's doesn't
matter if you have one or two good wins along the way, if those wins are
cancelled out by your bad losses. Seasons are judged in their entirety, not by
closing your eyes and pretending that the rest of the country only notices your
highlight(s), but not your warts.
@vegas uteWhat's funnier than a BYU fan declaring pre season
victories? A utah "fan" declaring pre playing greatness. utah "fans" like yourself constantly mock BYU fans saying they are
always declaring pre season championships. That is laughably incorrect but you
want a little bit of truth? utah "fans" are always declaring the
greatness of some kid none of them have the slightest clue about being the
greatest thing in the history of football simply because he gave a verbal to
utah. That's right, the kid isn't even out of high school, has never
done anything of note, and utah "fans" are already making declarations
of greatness. If BYU = preseason champs then utah = precareer champs.
@snackpack - the PAC/Indep 'era' consists of a whopping total of 2
seasons. Of course during that same 'era' the Y has failed to win a
game against Utah and developed their record against the likes of Idaho, Idaho
State, New Mexico State, Hawaii, and Weber State. Those 5 teams have accounted
for 50% of the Y's regular season wins during the 'era'.
CO UteCongratulations. In 2012, U barely squeaked by ONE
D-1A team that won more than 3 games, and that win only because of a fluke,
errant snap scoop and score.Utah's wins in 2012 consisted
of:No Colo(5-6)BYU(8-5)Cal(3-9)WSU(3-9)Col(1-11)Combined record 15-34No wins against ranked teams;
only one win against a bowl team, no wins against conference foes with winning
records, and a 7-point win against pathetic, 11-loss Colorado.Minimizing BYU simply minimizes the ONLY decent wins the Utes have since
joining the PAC.BYU's final Sagarin rankings as an Independent:
#34 and #26, average #30.Utah's final Sagarin rankings in the PAC 12:
#39 and #61, average #50.btw, BYU played FIVE Top 25 teams in 2012;
Utah only played TWO.
CO Ute"the PAC/Indep 'era' consists of a whopping
total of 2 seasons."True, yet in that short time period, BYU
still managed to finish in the Top 25, for EIGHTEENTH time in the last 36 years,
and to win two more bowl games. Not surprisingly, the Utes failed to
finish in the Top 25, for the 30th time in the last 36 years, and only managed
to play in one bowl game.As modest as BYU's accomplishments
have been, they still far exceed anything the Utes have done in the last two
@DuckhunterI'm pretty sure you know what I was talking about.
And you want to talk about being "frantic and emotional."
Duckhunter: "If BYU = preseason champs then utah = precareer champs."3grandslams, June 11: "The only team loaded with recruiting classes
that will go deep into the NCAA is BYU."Tators, June 12:

"BYU hasn't had much success going deep into the tourney in the past.
However, there are at least three good reasons to believe that will change in
the next few years. They are Emery, Mika, and (T.J.) Haws."Frankly, I have no problem with people believing future players will do good
things for their team. Believing it to be solely a one-sided affair is just
ignorant, however. (Those were all from one article, by the way. The entire
offseason and last season was riddled with endless similar intimations.)
@stgI have no problem with people believing players will be good
either, I just enjoy pointing out utah "fan" hypocrisy, which is a very
easy thing to do.
Claims of superiority over a team that's beat you 3 years in a row and 8
out of 11 is hypocritical.
@ekuteClaims of superiority over a team that consistently finishes
with better records and higher rankings than you is hypocritical.
Superiority is proven on the field.
Now how old are we here kids!? Honestly, it is only a game and it's not all
that important when it comes right down to it....
ekuteSuperiority is proven on the field over the course of an ENTIRE
SEASON, not in one game.Unless Utah fans are willing to admit that
UNLV(2-10) was BETTER than Utah(9-4) for the ENTIRE SEASON...Unless
Utah fans are willing to admit that Colorado(3-10) was BETTER than Utah(8-5) for
the ENTIRE SEASON...stop your silly claims thatunranked/#39 Utah(8-5) was BETTER than #25/#26/#34 BYU(10-3) for the ENTIRE

unranked/#26 BYU(8-5) for the ENTIRE SEASON.The ENTIRE SEASON's
results are the ONLY thing that really matters.Winning the
head-to-head gives you one-game bragging rights, and NOTHING more.Bottom line, BYU has finished ahead of Utah in record and final ranking in 5

ekuteSo you're claiming UNLV(2-10) and Colorado(3-10) were
BETTER than Utah. How embarrassing for U that your best team ever was
preceded by a team that wasn't even as good as pathetic 10-loss UNLV, a
team that only beat one other team in 2007, 10-loss Utah St.How
embarrassing for U that your inaugural PAC 12 team wasn't even as good as
pathetic 10-loss Colorado, a team that hadn't won a road game in 4 years.
@ekutieWe're just being messengers... The most quoted Preseason
College Football Expert By the Uties (Phil Steele on Strength of Schedule for
2013) states that he believes BYU is the 34th strongest team in the country, and
he then picks Utah as the 60th strongest team in the nation... That's 26
places higher for the Cougs... That's not us trying to create controversy
or attacking... that's simply us quoting the same expert that you guys like
to quote... Then, if we apply logic to examining strength of
schedule... One would have to conclude that having Utah on your team's
schedule this year actually hurts your SOS rating (unless you are Weber
State)... Ouch...Maybe , with guys like Donovan, that SOS rating can
improve for your opponents in the coming years. As a BYU fan, I certainly hope

think that it's important to note that in 48 of those 50 seasons BYU and
Utah shared the same conference...

"frantic and emotional" of you. Fail.

Duckhunter, of course you wouldn't acknowledge the irony and hypocrisy in
claiming "utah=precareer champs" and criticizing Utah fans for being
pleased with a recruit, but being perfectly fine with it when one of your own
has the same sentiments. It is your calling, after all, to be the
"balance" to the hypocrisy you perceive in others.
UteologyNOBODY cares about your leather-helmet era wins against East
High School and conference championships "won" in weak conferences that
died over half a century ago.The fact that Utah only won TWO
conference championships during 37 years in the WAC says far more about the Utes
than the meaningless 17 championships the Utes won before joining the WAC.Even more telling, not a single one of those 17 championship teams was
ranked and only one of them played in a bowl.
@Marked it DownYou mean the same conferences where BYU won ZERO
titles and ZERO bowl games?I don't blame BYU fans for claiming
their history began in 1974, because before then East High School OWND you.We own are history. We were abysmal in 70 and 80s but today we're

team. Are you saying BYU is better today than it was in the WAC or MWC?
