Jazz fans should be ecstatic about Big Al going to Charlotte. We're all
aboard the tanking train, and one of our biggest competitors for one of the
worst records in the league was bound to be Charlotte. Now with Big Al and
another year of development for their young guys and the drafting of Zeller, the
Bobcats will be improved enough to be a late-lottery team potentially. Plus,
while he was never going to take us to the promised land, I think Al was
generally liked by Jazz fans and we can all be happy to see him go somewhere
where he'll be valued and well-paid. It'll be interesting to see how
we compare with Philly, Phoenix, and Orlando in seeing if we can land our first
ever #1 pick, or at least in the top 5
Guess I missed about four of the seven years Al spent with the Jazz, according
