At least he knows how to recruit. That will come in handy.

he doesn't recruit, he "attracts" :)

and if he is good at that, don't you think the Utes need help? :)

Good for Juan Diego they should have a chance in 3A now since the dominating teams have moved up to 4A like Wasatch and Judge in fact I think Judge asked to be moved up good choice for them, I hope JD told the Coach he was coaching 3A and not 4A.

Why is it that a private school is allowed to recruit from anywhere, when a competing school has to settle with what is in their district boundaries. How is this fair?

I guess some schools can recruit, and some just take their athlete to "practice" at another school. Either way, kids are still going elsewhere. Maybe look in the mirror before passing judgement. You could also get a school board member to take care of you no matter what in your small district.

Juan Deigo hoops have under preformed for years. This may be the shot in the arm that they need. Good Luck.

markymark: Sometimes you have to take what you can get if you want to coach it might not be the best program like Bingham or Jordan but at least he doesn't have to face them now either. This should be a good start for him in 3A get some good experience trying to bring JD's program to a respectable level.

I'm not saying Juan diego isnt a good job. Just pointing out that he wasn't waiting around for that job to open like the article says.
