"...the public's desire for sustainable energy will lead to nuclear
power becoming a key part of the mix, along with coal and other traditional
sources."Water... where will the water come from to support
nuclear with Utah gaining another 2 million residents by 2030? Coal plants?
California is shutting off its Utah coal contracts, and coal plants are
converting to natural gas... the future of Utah coal is doomed. People are in denial about the most fundamental issues facing nuclear and
coal. They are shrinking industries now that natural gas and renewables are
cheap and growing.
Baron, How in the world can you make the claim that "renewables
are cheap and growing"!? Growing obviously, but cheap? Solar and wind power
are NOT ecoonomically competative, that's why there are federal subsidies
going to the progressive's crony buddies. Cellulosic alcohol
exists only in research laboratories, not in commerically available quantities,
despite the decree of congress that gas companies will use it in increasing
amounts. Strange, who would have thought that politicians making a decree
wouldn't automtically make it so?
