So we can sell the last boom era oil to China? Better yet, spur the
economy by requiring all oil be sold in this country.
So T Boone Pickens, one of the largest donors to Oklahoma State and an outspoken
opponent of expanding the Big 12 to include BYU two years ago, wants the good
people of Utah to help him out? Keep walking pal.
He doesn't know where Provo is and he couldn't find Utah unless his
chauffeur drove him here.
Re: ". . . he couldn't find Utah unless his chauffeur drove him
here."Could be. But that's also true of most of the radical
"greenies" in SUWA, Sierra Club, and the other environmental
organizations incessantly bleating about how it'll rip up the state's
lands to extract energy from them.At least this guy makes sense to
I think calling him a "domestic energy development advocate" is far too
nice and sanitized for what he proposes. He wants to dig up, pollute, and
prohibit access to my land and your land in the name of greedy profiteering. I
would give him a new title, but it wouldn't be appropriate. I condemn any
Utah politicians, including Rep. Rob Bishop, who acquiesce to the nefarious
agenda of the destruction of Utah.
Re: "I condemn any Utah politicians . . . who acquiesce to the nefarious
agenda of the destruction of Utah."Who doesn't?But that doesn't answer the question, what'll destroy Utah faster,
responsible mineral and domestic fuel production on a fraction of 1% of
Utah's land, or converting Utah and the West into a hopeless, jobless,
off-limits petting zoo for liberal elites?Having spent a good part
of my life in the Third World, I can promise, every step we take toward that
status for America will degrade our environment.Liberalism's
dirty little secret is that liberal programs are ultimately destructive of the
aims they claim to foster.Environmentalism is no different.
