Murphy has a good chance of being a great NFl prospect for tight end. he is a great athlete and is only a junior this year! He has plenty of time to improve even more! I see him contributing to a team like Dennis Pita has to the Ravens.

    GO UTES!!

Congratulations to both!! Two excellent examples of class and talent.

We are really rooting for you, Trevor. This should be a break-out year for you with your now-healthy knee. We are also praying for your daughter!

    Go Utes!!

I agree with the above comments. Murphy and Reilly are the very two leaders that stand out in my mind right now on both offense and defense. Hopefully Wilson will assume this leadership role right away as well. It's going to be a challenging, yet extremely exciting year this coming season.

    Go Utes!!

How do you like them now, Jake? (5-7) pending...(3-9)

    Bluto:

Jake Murphy loves being 2-0 vs. Utah's Indy-WACey little brother. If he wanted to beat up on weak SOS playing small ball, he never would have left mendemidmajor's "Band of Bunglers". But he didn't. He wanted to be "challenged" week in and week out. That kind of "challenge" could only be faced at at the U.

Jake Murphy will be an NFL tight end and has all PAC12 potential.

Did Jake love watching his PACy-WACy team spend bowl week on the couch because U couldn't beat the only WAC team U played?

The Utes are a gaudy 1 for 2 against that "challenging" 10+ loss team from Boulder and haven't beaten a conference opponent with a winning record since joining the PAC.

Obviously, you're not up to the challenge.

This BYU fan wishes the Utes the best in the PAC-12 this year. Murphy is a great athlete and a fine representative of the University. He should benefit from having Coach Erickson join the staff.

Coach Whit is doing things the right way and while this year will be a challenge, I look for the Utes to pull off one big upset this year...I'm hoping for Stanford or SC rather than the Ducks since I grew up in Eugene.

Thanks for keeping it classy in Lehi!

Y's the little brother, et al: we know you are still mad and jealous that Jake came to his senses and switched to the better school (as so many have done the past few years). The fact that he is an NFL caliber talent only proves he made the right decision! But, we really appreciate you coming on every Utah story anyway and showing your love and support for all things Ute. Plus, you keep us so entertained!!

    Go Utes! Onward and Upward!!

    U's little brother:

Colorado? What does CU's .500 success level vs. the Utes have anything to do with your own Indy-WACer's ineptitudes vs. Utah? What a bandwagoner you must be. Typical of an Indy-WACer I suppose.

    @ U's little brother--

byu would've finished with double-digit losses in 2011 against CU's SOS, too. Go back and check it out. It's also within the same season we utterly annihilated byu in epic-fashion on their homefield, 54-10.

Barely beating usu by 3-points at home constitutes the only win against a decent team byu's had in recent memory. Interestingly enough, byu needed 2 WAC bottom-feeders, Idaho and NMSU, along with Weber State and Hawaii, in order to even become bowl-eligible, since they rarely ever beat a decent team [per the above].

Furthermore, byu's played against 5 PAC-12 schools to date, which is sufficient enough to make a comparison--

At 2-3, byu has both of their wins against teams which finished at the bottom of the conference. Against the only 2 teams which finished the season with a winning-record, byu got absolutely brutally curb-stomped on their homefield, to the tune of 96-34!

Finally, UTAH/byu have each reached 11 bowl games during this current BCS Era. While UTAH is a resounding 10-1, byu has struggled to rise above .500 at 6-5. Not to mention BCS x 2.

    Forgot to add--

byu's 2-3 record against PAC-12 schools includes going 0-2 against UTAH!

Gotta laugh at how the kids on the hill frantically and emotionally resort to throwing out wild predictions based on NOTHING but their own biases when actual results don't support their crimson-colored view of the world.

The fact is, it's impossible for you to prove that BYU would have lost to a single team that beat Colorado in 2011.

One thing we do know, BYU has won 3 of the last 4 versus Colorado, and hasn't lost to the Buffs since a 9-7 setback at Colorado in 1947.

Utah's 7-11 record against PAC-12 schools includes TWO losses to teams with LOSING records and ZERO wins against a conference foes with winning records.

Unlike Utah, BYU didn't lose to a 10-loss team that hadn't won a road game in over FOUR years, losing TWENTY-THREE consecutive road games since squeaking out a 31-27 win at Texas Tech on October 27, 2007.

CU OWNS byu, 8-3-1, overall, but they haven't played each-other since '88, so I'm completely mystified as to how games played in '88 and before between CU/byu relate to how byu has fared themselves against The PAC-12/anything else I posted?

Other than the typical-SPIN, what I posted earlier hasn't even remotely been refuted. Fact is, it's 100% irrefutable. No amount of SPIN alters this fact.

CU doesn't own anything except a few ancient wins long before sports were televised.

Unlike Utah's pitiful showing against the Buffs in 2012 and 2011, it's doubtful even a handful of Colorado fans remember the last time the Buffs beat the Cougs.

BYU has beaten the Colorado three of the last four meetings, including a 41-20 blowout win in Boulder and a 20-17 win in the Freedom Bowl.
