It could be very interesting if the Jazz move up with a trade.
I've been doing some of my own research and study on the top tier players
in this upcoming draft. From what I've read this guy sounds like a great
pick for the Jazz but the mock drafts have him already taken before the 14th
pick. Like Scalman said, the Jazz would probably have to trade up to get him.
Come on Jazz make the move up to take a quality player. The Jazz
could trade......okay they can't trade anyone because that is who they have
left on the roster.Ok how about Jeremy Evans, the Jazz could trade
him but in all likelihood that would move them further down in the draft. The 6 players under contract this year are a direct reflection on the
administration and their lack of insight. The Jazz are planning to
throw their younger players under the bus this season.Kanter and
Favors have an upside but even Oklahoma who is led by Kevin Durrant was not
impressed by his play his second year. That team were basement dwellers even
though they had fabulous talent, more so than the group Utah has left as members
of the Jazz. Check Derron Williams stats his second year. Jazz need
to give their big men more time to develop. Most likely the Jazz are
going to cobble together some d leaguers as support for a group who would not
even start for most NBA teams.
@Doug10I would hope the Jazz could trade up without including any players.
The Jazz have the 14th and 21st pick, plus a 2nd rounder. In what is considered
a mediocre draft you might find a team that will trade a higher pick for 2 picks
a little later in the first round.
i think rather than trade up...i want them to try to get lotto bound picks for
next year...think about it...if we got lucky we could get Parker or
Randle...probably get 1 year contracts...if we still have picks this
year...Karasev and Dario would be intriguing...i'd probably try to sign
Calderon to handle the PG duties...but i know that Karasev already has a team
that promised him a first round pick...but the guy can shoot....Dario is like
Toni Kukoc...and let's hope that doesnt get in his head and would still
work hard...probably...maybe package Big Al, Paul Millsap and rights to Ante
Tomic (i dont think he'll come)...to lottery bound teams...and try to get
as much first rounders next year as we can...then hand the keys to Hayward,
Favors, Kanter and Burks next year...if they reach the playoffs then good...if
not..lotto bound to a draft with some superstar talents...
@KakashiI don't think we can package Big Al and Millsap to trade to
lottery bound teams. As of July 1st they are free agents and don't belong
to the Jazz. We would have to compete with any other teams offering them
contracts to sign them, and then we have the ability to trade them.
