Our laws are not broken, Obama refuses to enforce them. What makes you think he
will enforce the new ones? (if passed)Rewarding criminal behavior
won't stop anything. Amnesty just kicks the can down the road. If passed,
we will see this same situation in 15 more years.
Trust Congress to take an easy problem and goof it up.ALL we need is
enforcment of current law.If a "new" amnesty (we tried that
once in 1986)bill is written, what makes anyone believe it will be enforced any
better than the existing law?It will also bring another 20 million
here to wait for their "amnesty".Republicans think they can
somehow get 15 million new citizens to vote for them. They can't. Demos.
have more identification with hispanics. Always have, probably always will.Republicans WILL though lose a lot of conservative voters if they pass this
nonsense. I for one, will no longer vote Republican. Whats the
point? The ONLY ones who would benefit from yet another amnesty are
BTW- IMHO when "leaders" (I use the term loosely)say they want
"quick immigration reform", it probably means "please don't
read the bill, just pass it"similar to Obamacare.
This is how a nation is destroyed. You have self-serving groups and entities
that feed off an issue like this, catering to a group they want to exploit for
gain. And what will be the result? To the groups pushing for this, they
don't care...as long as they gain. The Democrats will take full
control of national and many local politics beginning in 12-13 years (or
sooner). There will be no securing of the border. So many millions
will continue to come into the country and be another means for future
exploitation for gain. We're rewarding lawlessness, which will
only encourage further lawlessness. I hope the churches continue to call for
keeping families of criminals together. What compassion. Speaking of
compassion, what about those citizens who've lost their jobs to cheaper
labor in the past few years? Where's the compassion? Oh, that's right.
There isn't any.Those who've encouraged this deserve
As a member of the LDS Church, attorney, and American, I will strongly and
vigorously oppose, along with the majority of my fellow Americans, any groups,
organizations, or persons that support any form of amnesty for illegals. Those
of us, who are Americans, and who love this country, have just begun to fight.
If this amnesty bill gets passed, we will immediately and tirelessly work to
have it repealed, just the same as we are working to repeal Obamacare and the
Frank-Dodd Act. We will never quit, we will never give up. We will work until
our Nation and Constitution are saved for our kids and grand kids, just as our
forbears did for us. Those who hate this country will find, just as did the
Japanese after they bombed Pearl Harbor, that they have awakened a sleeping
A vote for amnesty is a vote to destroy the rule of law forever in this
country.Approval of this amnesty scheme, for whatever excuse--
humanitarian, partisan political gain, or hoping to make it disappear-- will
officially signal the collapse of our nation as one based on the rule of law.No longer can anyone count on equal treatment under the law, fair
enforcement, or anything else. What they can count on will be that if you
choose to disobey some (or all?) laws, if you wait long enough, and get the
media and some politicians to sympathize with you, your misdeeds will be
forgiven. Why should any American citizen ever obey any of our laws
again, if amnesty is given to millions for multiple violations and thumbing
their noses at many of our laws for decades? No wonder the government
feels the need to spy on its political enemies, indeed on all citizens. Our founders weep.
This reform bill is just another reset button, rewarding bad behavior.Sure, I'm talking about the unlawful presence of illegal alien. But
I'm also talking about the bad behavior of government. Politicians and
bureaucrats have done everything but enforce the law.If they move forward
with this plan and allow illegals to remain (with or without green cards/border
fence/benefits) we will firmly establish that the way to residency is to simply
sneak in and wait for the next amnesty plan. Filing an application at the
embassy and waiting is not the way to come here.Do we really want people
around the world to think that is the American way?
It's about improving the bottom line for business. It's about more
power for a minority. It's about more family able to enter the U.S.
It's about more votes for politicians which equates to power for them. What
it't not about is the rule of law. The jobs of Americans. The financial
well being of Americans.Like one comment above who can guarantee that the
present administration and future administrations will enforce new law. This is
a scam and another dog and pony show.
"... The first, that the federal immigration laws are broken."No, more like the Federal Immigration laws HAVE been broken. Multiple times.
Rewarding bad behavior never helped anyone. It only ends up creating a
perception that laws are more like guidelines and it is ok to break them as long
as you can justify it in your own mind. Imagine how more rampant crime would be
if Law enforcement and citizens took the same approach as to illegal aliens.
Just stop enforcing it until we can fix the law. Well, look no further than our
immigration system and you would know exactly how other crime would be
affected.Provide educational opportunities regardless of
citizenship?? Who is going to pay for that? Statements like that make it so
there is absolutely no incentive to do things the right way. Why come legally
when you can get way more for being illegal? Just boggles my mind the way
people think sometimes. This Country cant even take care of its own citizens.
How in the world is it going to take care of other country's citizens.
Answer: We can't.
Do you suppose the pictured citizens realize how badly they're being
betrayed by our government? Do you think they know that corporate lobbyists
wrote the Senate legislation as an OUTSOURCING bill before it was wrapped as
"immigration reform"? Or that large numbers of family visas
will be stripped and awarded them to corporations?Or that, while 13
years from illegal to citizenship, an additional 1.6 MILLION "guest
workers" will enter the US in just the first year? Do you
suppose they know every element of the tech script -- from "skilled labor
shortage", "thousands of open jobs" thru "best and
brightest" -- is a PROVEN falsehood? And that no CEO is willing to testify
under oath -- and penalty of perjury? And in fact there's an abundance of
citizens with all skills, education and intelligence for every available jobs?
Do you think they know Utah's own SEN. ORRIN HATCH directly
stripped even minimal worker protection so corporations can import foreigners on
temporary work visas as direct replacements of US workers? Wow,
what a country!
