There is more need for mindfulness and awareness of thought and emotion in the
LDS faith. If Mormonism encompasses all truth WHEREEVER it is taught, they we
can greatly profit from much of what Buddhism teaches in principle. When it comes to emotional rough patches, our only answer is "pray
more" and "repent". In our journey towards perfection, we stress
ourselves out and, unfortunately, burn out.I would love to see more
gospel based mindfulness and awareness teachings. I think the LDS faithful
would benefit greatly from words like "let go", "allow",
"self-compassion", "non-judgement", "let it be", and
"I accept what is".This kind of article needs to appear
weekly or more often in the Deseret News.
Nobody is perfect. I'm nobody, and your nobody, we are the same, let's
be friends. if you don't want to be for get about dit.
