There were many times when, as an elementary school teacher, I noticed my
students nodding off or losing focus. A quick run around the playground for
five minutes brought all of us back to class awake, alert and ready to learn
again.It's such a basic concept of physiology that it's
impossible to understand why supposedly smart people fail to get it.
I really don't understand the graphic. It seems to say that very few
students get 60 minutes of exercise 1, 2, 3, 4, or 6 days per week. How can
Duh!Keeping young children seated seven-eight hours a day is abuse,
and a cause for attention deficit. Many adults couldn't do this.
Wow, what a great article. I totally agree and support the findings of this
article. People need more physical activity in order to learn more effectively.
I think it is interesting to note that of all high school sport teams, the
cross country teams have the highest average GPAs. It just makes sense that
more circulation to the brain produces better cognitive results.
Agree with you and like to say physical activity at school helps kids reducing
stress, improve their concentration, memory and behavior. Physical activities
helps children in maintaining healthy body weight and better sleep at night
