Colorado and any supporters of legalizing this drug are first line enemies to
children and their future. The legalization of marijuana is far from a decision
a responsible adult would make.
Children really are the crux of this and many similar issues. Personally, if it wasn't for a desire to keep children safe and sheltered
(in a healthy way) for as long as possible, I'd be a full blown
Yes that's right hide behind the safety of protecting the children then go
drink alcohol. Your Hippocratic argument is coming to an end and there is
nothing you can do about it.
well, that's because these parents are stupid. Would you leave a
prescription for Vicodin, beta blockers or Xanax sitting out where you child
could get it? Of course not, because kids don't understand the consequences
of taking these drugs. Same thing with legal pot, you shouldn't leave it
where kids have access to it. Yet kids get sick from pot exposure, just like
kids die from taking mommy or daddys pills. The only good thing about the pot is
that it isn't dangerous enough to kill kids.
How many of the same adults who complain about children and legalized pot (or
alcohol or whatever) also tell children that their vitamins are "candy"
or "taste good" to assist with compliance, never thinking that this is
the first step on the path to blurring the difference between medication and
tasty treats? Don't tell me, if you are a reader who has done this, but be
honest enough to know and change it now, with the next child you have influence
over. I began taking seizure meds when my first was a baby, in 1971. All
vitamins, chewable or not, any such thing, was "medicine", to them and
to me, still is. They saw me take meds several times a day, and knew what they
meant for me, even asked me sometimes if I'd remembered. No, kids are
smarter than you think, if you give them the information, and these kids
aren't getting it if they are getting into things that make them sick. For
their sake, quit lying to them!
For those saying that legalizing Marijuana is a risk to children they need to
look at the positive and negative of the war on drugs.1. Kids have
easier access to weed when it is illegal. Any kid over the age of 12 likely
knows someone he can call for weed, alcohol is much harder to get your hands
on.2. The percentage of our nation incarcerated tripled with the war
on drugs, making criminals of otherwise productive members of society.
Don't humor yourself thing alcohol is even remotely safer, because
it's far far more dangerous. You might as well call prison Criminal U,
because it doesn't rehabilitate. They are bored and scared, and are forced
into a gang mentality just to survive. They come out better criminals.3. Weed money funds violent gangs here and in other countries. Most gun crime
is by those same gangs. Look at how crime declined drastically after
Prohibition ended. One is it regulated and sold by legitimate business the
amount of control grows drastically.4. Countries with legalized
weed have less usage rates. Make decisions on facts, not emotions.
I grew up in California, I started smoking marijuana at 13, I am 25 now, and
have no serious health risks, I made the smart decision not to have children, so
why should my freedom to consume a plant be restricted because some of you feel
the need to have liters of kids like dogs do puppies?Legalization is
