Maybe if the religious crowd would stop referring to the media as
'elites' it would help. They need to stop expecting the press to give
their foibles an esay ride, too. For too long in this country, calling yourself
'reverend' in this country has been expected to excuse anything.
You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink. Most
national media outlets at best try to ignore conservative Chirstians, or pretend
they don't really exist. At worst they do their best to dehumanize
conservatives Christians. I appreciate the effort to change that,
but I won't be holding my breath.
Conservative Christians seem to have the same problem conservative republicans
do, they seem to think that the problem is that we are just not hearing them, we
all hear them loud and clear the problem is we are just not interested in what
they got to sell
The more you learn about religious zealots, the less likely you are to want them
involved in running your country. The problem for Conservative
Christians is not that they are misunderstood, the problem is that a growing
number of people are in fact understanding them quite well.
Hutterite has it right. Just using the term "elite" tells us all we need
to know, just as much as "ilk" or "low information". It's a
pejorative that's hard to miss and impossible to mistake as anything
Wow DN... it looks like Hutterite and Happy Vally Heretic have your number.Best two posts of the month so far!
according to Dan Harris of ABC, it’s “one of the best kept secrets
in journalism.”That’s because the lamestream media has
no interest in portraying an accurate description of conservative Christians.
It would interfere with their own agendas and the agendas of the companies that
control them. You can see how well they have snookered Hutterite, HVH, Blue,
Mark B, George, and Wastintime.HVH,If I want an accurate view
of what HVH and other intolerant leftists believe about Christians, I just need
to turn on MSNBC or get the DNC feed (or read HVH and LDS? lib’s posts)
I'm constantly amazed by how many people go on to a known religiously
conservative news site and then try to find fault with everything that is
printed here. If you don't like the Mormon Church, conservative values, or
religious perspective, then go somewhere else for your news. Obviously you
don't like the way the news is portrayed here, so why spend your time here
on the attack. Hatred, fault-finding, and looking for any excuse to be offended
by the evil Right does nothing but accurately demonstrate the vitriol that the
tolerant Left has for anyone who doesn't agree with them. Your comments
are better suited for MSNBC. Just go there and you won't have to be
infuriated by our shallow, misogynistic, racist, bigoted, homophobic, Jim Crow
(which was a Democrat movement BTW), backward, (have I left out any of the
standard Leftist pejorative labels they use when someone doesn't agree with
them) mentality. Support your own cause and stop attacking others'.
