This is Great!! A NEW Pageant in England.

What about the 40+ years old Pageant in Oakland, CA?? "And It Came To Pass" ??

That ended with the 2007 performances, and Elder Quintin Cook said in 2009
that it would return. Those comments were made at the 50th Birthday Party
celebration for the San Franisco,CA Stake.

Great for Britian!! When is Oakland's Pageant going to be RE-stored??

    Thank You and God Bless..

This is very exciting. As far as I know this is the first pageant done outside the United States. I hope it goes well.

Pageants with an LDS historical base have a number of positive effects, some of them
being (a)they strengthen the faith of the performers and supporting staff, (b) they
provide an avenue for growth for the "weakest of all saints". (c) they pique the interest of the youth, developing an appreciation for their historical heritage and gospel legacy, and (d) to a greater or lesser extent, they support the missionary effort of the Church.

Having some involvement with the "Mormon Handcart Pageant" previously held in Nephi, Utah, I appreciate the positive effects they have. Though the Church receives much more benefit from their handcart facilities in Wyoming, for the families involved in producing and witnessing the Handcart Pageant, it remains an experience of a lifetime. I wish those involved in the English production the best of luck and God's blessings. As we say in America, "break a leg" and enjoy a wonderful experience!
