Bronco was right about the NFL potential. However, many scouts have pointed out
that Ziggy was playing at the wrong position most of the time at BYU. It's
too bad that Bronco and his staff didn't recognize earlier that Ziggy was a
potential NFL first round draft pick. However, as a Cougar fan, I
will be very proud when Ziggy's name is called early in the draft tomorrow.
It will silence a lot of naysayers.
Great story. This is the first time I can remember paying close attention to
any pro draft. I can't get enough of Ziggy.
Has there ever been a 10 ten draft pick that has had less impact on the win/loss
record of his college team than Ziggy?Think about it... Ziggy
started 9 games for BYU and BYU didn't win one game with Ziggy that they
wouldn't have won without him.If Bronco had prepared Ziggy to
start earlier in his career he would have had a greater impact at BYU. As it is
Bronco only started Ziggy when an injury forced him into the starting line up.
howie"If Bronco had prepared Ziggy to start earlier in his

usual, you completely misread the tea leaves.Bronco didn't
start Ziggy earlier, because Ziggy wasn't ready to be a starter earlier.
The timing of the injury and Ziggy getting his chance to start were pure
coincidence.Regardless of how much "potential" a player has,
it still takes time to learn how to play the game.Trust a jealous
Ute to try to paint Ziggy's not starting earlier as a failure on
So did the media apologize to Mendenhall for "rolling their eyes"?
Seems the longer Bronco is coaching the more often he is right. Good
luck to Ziggy.
Snack PACOlympus Cove, Utah"... pure
conincidence..."So you believe Bronco was going to start Ziggy
when he did regardless of the injury?Right....Bronco was
so busy being loyal to established players that he let an NFL talent languish on
howieYour jealous spin is out of control.Bronco is
solely responsible for giving Ziggy the opportunity to play football. If not for
Bronco, Ziggy would never have played a single down of college football.
