Soooo no one from the east side or in bountiful could buy it? So now some Russian who brings toxic waste to Utah owns one of the most historic landmarks in Utah? Brigham young must be rolling in his grave

Maverick, sorry to break this to you but he's Iranian, not Russian. If you would have read the article, you'd know that if you would have read the forth paragraph. By the way, Brigham was a capitalist and most likely would have welcomed Semnani with open arms.

A lot of people that I know won't shop there because they don't allow concealed weapons on site. That rule has been in effect for years, even prior to the shootings. The lingering memory of the shootings there also keeps people away. Remove that restriction and I'd go there and shop on occasion. My great grandfather worked there for Utah Light and Traction.

Same thing happened with the Utah Fun Dome (49th Street Galleria). They had a gang shooting right by the front door. People quit going because they feared for their safety. The place went belly up.

I didn't know Trolley Square disallowed concealed weapons.

NOW that I know that it's safe, I'll shop there.
After all, only one of the vigilantes (an off-duty cop) was able to stop the Trolley Square shooter.

And by the way, name a Utah shopping center that DOES allow concealed weapons?

RE: Concealed weapons. If it is concealed, who knows who's carrying and who's not? Who checks? Are there going to be metal detectors at the entrances? Will a sign deter a criminal? Is a knife a weapon? If it is in a pocket, is it concealed, therefor to be banned. Maybe those who worry about the risk of concealed carried weapons on others should maybe stay at home, in bed with the covers over their heads. And keep a fresh supply to aluminum foil close by.

    Strider303 --

    We are gun owners.
We just don't worship them, and we all know that vigilanteism doesn't work.

It took three "good people WITHOUT guns" to bring down the Tucson shooter.
The armed men fled; another came out of the Walgreens, and after seeing the commotion, almost shot the heroes.
