In soccer most teams have rivalries that tend to get very physical. I think
generally, the players have a respect for each other and the game. However, it
is the parents that are the problem and often escalate what happens on the pitch
up in the stands when they disagree with the official.While these
games are often "playoff caliber intensity" they are also more physical
and officials need to call them tight early in the match, rather than later.
Rivals like Brigton - Alta, Bountiful - Viewmont, and Park City - Wasatch are no
BREAKING news by the D News ... parent behaving badly at a youth game.Seriously?
The frustrating part for me is that we don't give any blame to these
referees. I 100% understand that the parents should act like parents. They need
to keep their composure and act like adults. But is this game going to be looked
at by the state? Normally grown up's can keep their composure for the most
part. Especially in rivalry games refs need to be on their A game.
Soccer brings out the absp;ute worst in parents. I don't know what it is,
but soccer parents have more problems than any other sport. It is sad. I am not
a fan of soccer, but these athletes deserve their parents to act like adults.
