"Thank Favors, Jazz fans". Hey Jody, have you been reading our comments
all year? Jazz nation knows how valuable Favors is and we have been begging
Corbin all year to give the guy big minutes. So the comment should read,
"thank Corbin, for finally paying attention- at least for 1 game. This was
really a great game and I'm proud of the way the team held off every Golden
State threat. Corbin gave Carroll minutes again and even if the guy isn't
scoring he brings energy and the team plays better. I'm still bugged that
Corbin sat Demarre on the bench for 6 games and Corbin should be held
accountable for stupid decisions like that. At any rate, great game, and if the
Jazz make the playoffs I'll be rooting for them even though I still think
we will probably get swept.
A point for improvement for Hayward...Turnovers...but the guy is good...and i am
sure he'll take notice on that part of his game...at least he is
consistent..producing at least 13 a game...
The Jazz won this game because of their intensity. 1 play comes to mind in
particular. Steph Curry (best shooter in the league in my opinion) is being
highly pressured by Mo Williams, then goes off a pick and Favors instead of just
showing, crowds and bodies up to Curry and completely took away the pick and
roll option. The Jazz came up with loose balls. The refreshing thing is we
have seen this out of the Jazz for 2-3 quarters in a game then they let down.
This game the intensity level and urgency level was up all game.Hitting 11 3's didn't hurt either. I thought from the tip off that
Mo Williams set the tone with his defensive intensity. Great win.
Wow! Now, that's what I'm talkin' about!
Why look at that: Jazz guards do their job and the team gets a win.Mo was on fire.
Finally the Jazz show that they're aware of the defensive liability
Jefferson is. Sitting him during that crunch at the end of the game was
brilliant. That was one of the better coached games in Jazz history for me.
Corbin was right on!
Agree with you, fortydam. Putting Jefferson on the bench in the closing minutes
may just have won the game for them. They really need to finish 3 -
1. If they play with this same intensity every night, they could win all four.
Can the Jazz make the playoffs AND fire Corbin, or is that asking too much?
@ Fortydam and ImaUteFanIt is too bad Jefferson is such a liability
on defense cause the dude can score with the best of them in the post. He would
be such an impact player.
@RationalMy opinion is the Jazz probably can make the playoffs, but firing
Corbin rests in Greg Millers hands and since he is clueless, I imagine Corbin
will be here as long as he wants to coach (unfortunately).
Here's hoping that San Antonio doesn't take dive and rest their
starters when they play the Lakers.
Anybody else have a problem with their TV last night? Mine showed the Jazz
actually winning a road game against a playoff team. The picture was
all messed up....someone that looked like Favors was in at the end of the game
getting defensive stops/showing on the pick and roll etc. Bizarre since we
usually have to watch Jefferson get abused.Whatever caused it, I
wish my TV would have been broken like that more often this season.
