So excited for Cedar City (and Rio). Can't wait to attend the Cedar open house and dedication. My family members in Cedar City are humbled and rejoice today. Thank you, Thank you!

I am very excited about the temple for Rio. It was the most populous city in Latin America that did not yet have a temple.

Will be a great blessing for Cedar City. I must admit being amused at how hard it seems for some to travel a whole half hour (Cedar City to St George) when we drive two hours to get to our temple here in Iowa. We were thrilled to get Winter Quarters which shrunk the drive from six hours to two. Living in Utah with hundreds of thousands of members does have advantages. But we love Iowa! It is always thrilling to hear of new temples regardless of where they go.

My deceased husbands family is from there and they are talking about a family reunion when it is built. This will be great for Cedar City and the towns north of there and nearby.

@IA Cougar, I dont think it has anthing at all to do with having a hard time traveling a half hour to St. George. My guess is it has to do with St. George being full most of the time.
