Congrats to the Lady Utes. Let's win this next one and go out on a high
note. Heaven knows we all could use a high note.
There is still one basketball team from the state of Utah playing in April!
Show the NIT that you can win it despite them having you play 5 of 6 games on
your opponents home court. Good Luck on Saturday. We'll be watching - at
last we can!
Fabulous! I know it's not the men's team and not the NCAA
tourney, but what an accomplishment by the Lady Utes especially given all of the
road games they have played and two overtime games as well.Good Luck
on Saturday, ladies. GO UTES!!
Who am I sir, I suppose it's a little late to tell you, but all the other
games were webcasted by the respective schools' websites for free. K State
was a team that was playing very well in the WNIT, winning all their games up to
tonight fairly handily without leaving home. This is an awesome opportunity for
the ladies, it'd be great if they take advantage of it Saturday.
Awesome! Nice job ladies.Might as well win the next one too.
Go Lady UTES...
Now there's an achievement we can all be proud of! Not sure very many
people thought they would go this far but there they are playing for the
championship of the WNIT! From a diehard Cougar fan, Go Lady Utes! Hope you
bring the hardware home to Utah!
I just can't get excited for this. I'm sorry, just being honest here.
Women's ball is bad. The NIT is bad. Two bads do not make a good thing.
Its a double dose of bad. I hope the Utes win for their sake, but
from a fan's perspective, I really dont care at all. Just the
GOOD STUFF LADY UTES!
Chris B,You sure are a piece of work...You are not alone
in preferring men's to women's basketball, but it costs you nothing to
be supportive of the Lady Utes in your comments. Why not congratulate them, and
wish them luck in the championship game?Go Utes!
Hey! This game will be played right here in Philadelphia! That's a short
15 min subway ride from my place. I can easily go to the game!Go
Chris B,Wow! I am a long time BYU fan and Utah supporter when they are not
playing each other! I say congrats to the Lady Utes! Good luck in the WNIT
championship game!!! The team is playing for a post season trophy and all you
can do is rag on their sport! Shame on you!!!
Utah95 and Reno,I'm sorry if the truth hurts you. I'm not
going to apologize for telling how I feel, just as everyone else does on these
boards. We live in a world where PC has taught us to pat everyone on the back
every time they tie their shoes. I tell things how they are. And
will continue to do so.
@ Chris B,I guess you just can't get excited for the U
Men's programs either. Because to use your logic, the football team is bad,
and the basketball team is bad, and two bads don't make a good thing. I now
understand all the comments on the BYU article message boards. It is all
starting to make sense now.Congrats Lady Utes. Go Chelsea
Bridgewater. Make us proud.
@ Chris B,Unfortunately, you don't actually tell things how
they are, you tell them how you wish they were. While I agree the world has
become way too PC, that is not the issue here. It is people's belief that
they are more important than everyone else. That their opinion is more valid
than someone else's, just because they say so. It is the disillusionment
that they somehow have some influence or deserve credit for something they
played no part in, by making comments like "I love my BCS/PAC12
membership" - as if they somehow had anything to do with those decisions, or
somehow personally benefit from the decision. I am sure there are plenty of Ute
fans that would agree. Time to take a step back into reality. Not
hatin' just stating the facts.
IRS Agent, for once I find a comment from you refreshing, truthful and
unbiased.PS Chelsea's a great ambassador for the U and just a
great person. Glad you have been fortunate enough to associate with her!Chris B, nobody asked you to be excited for, or even supportive of
women's basketball, but that doesn't require tearing them down for
doing their best to represent the University in a MUCH better fashion than
StGtoSLCI appreciate the props. I have known Chelsea and
followed her play since grade school. I even got the chance to help coach her as
she played against the boys. You could tell then she was special and going to be
successful at whatever she wanted. She comes from a great family.
First of all, Go Ute Women, bring home the Trophy!I personally love
anything Utes. I'll be watching today.Chris is fine, at least
he don't pretend to represent anything but himself. What gets me are the
haters that pretend to represent the student athletes, the parents, the BYU fan
base or the Utah fan base. You guys don't represent anything but hate and
jealousy. This is mostly in reference to the comments following the latest
articles on the rugby team and the swim coach.Go Utes!
