How do you get a free promo for direct tv when the story is about a kbyu
production. Unless you need direct tv to wAtch it. Which you don't.
I think the bigger story is how did the church green light a million
dollar per episode BYU tv series. With the failure rate of tv series even
when the networks have deep pockets for the best actors, writers and directors
is high. It just seems like a big gamble that maybe a little more prayer
should have been given before this was rushed through the approval process.
I live near the real Rocky Flats site - sounds like a fun show!
Mountain man, it's not KBYU it's BYUTV two separate channels.I'm watching, sounds like what I want to see on television! Looks Fun!
I have the DVR set and hope to enjoy Granit Flats
A question for Mr. Swafford... what's the point of spending a million per
episode, and then not spending any money on marketing what you have? I am in the
film industry and have noticed a trend with BYUtv... they have great content,
but have NO idea how to market their content, or how to establish a solid
viewership. Most people who come across BYUtv outside of Utah will do it by
flipping through channels until they find something good. If it's good,
they will set it to record on their DVR. BYUtv needs to do like all the other
channels do, do marathons of their shows like Turning Point, American Ride and
now Granite Flatts... people will come across it and hopefully find it
interesting and then they can establish a viewership. Other networks do this
because it works. Marketing should be their number one focus now that they have
I'm so impressed that BYUtv is doing well enough to do a series. They have
great programming and they are gradually building a great network. It is
national and international and is building viewership as they go. Good for
them. I hope it does well. I can't wait. I'm so sick of
the morally repugnant garbage that's on the big three networks.
Just watched the pilot and following episode. We loved it! Quality show, pulling
off the 1962 time period was fun to see. Loved the kids and the plot. Fun family
