Good thing for him because it doesn't appear rugby at the university of utah is going to be an option for him.

Duckhunter, my guess would be if he wasn't finishing playing football this year, he'd be playing rugby professionally somewhere anyway.

    Stg,
Good point, didn't he play on a national team?

Its good to read positive things about him because even though we've read a lot about him, this may be the first time it sound like he might actually have an impact.

Palamo turned down a good-sized contract to play Rugby three years ago so he could get his college education. He would be doing that instead of playing college football. Now he gets his degree and a better life for he and his father. Pretty cool. As for the Rugby team at the U? Stupid mistake and a violation of the resulting probation. A shame the players have to pay for a coach's mistake.

I really feel like the coaches made a big mistake not redshirting Palomo 2 years ago. It was fairly clear that he wasn't ready to contribute and we wasted a year of his eligibility on special teams.

It would sure be nice to have a guy with his kind of physical attributes for 2 years instead of 1. Especially since he's finally starting to get it.

Just hope he wasn't in the van. What is going on up on the hill. Swimming, rugby what is next. Still thanking Yahoo.
