Romney still wants to be captain of the Titanic?
Our challenges aren't solvable by elections. Certainly, we can make things
worse, e.g. #43.
I love Mitt Romney! He would have made a wonderful POTUS! The greatest challenge
is to unite and bring the GOP together on the same page. Even with all the
misgivings of BHO, the dems were united behind him. We lack leadership in this
country; I pray to God that the Constitution will stand. All forces on board
right now are trying to dismantle it piece by piece!God bless
Here we go again. Hear the circus barker shouting, "Step right up! Step
right up! Buy your next President! Buy your next President! Step right up!
Bring plenty of money and step right up!"
To all you critics.....you don't think we are on the Titanic as we speak?
And no one is a bigger circus barker than Obama. Look at his actions. He is
more interested in creating pain than in solving problems.Give me a
This country would finally be great if Mitt was elected.
Not sure which is worse: "Step right up and buy your next President" or
"Step right up and I'll buy your vote"
This country would be great is Men like Mitt Romney would work to bring all of
the American People together, instead of promoting divisions. Why can't we
be one people? Have we not learned anything from our Ancestors?President Washington, in his second innagural speech, warned us about a two
party system and the dangers of courting them. This will not stand if we
continue advocating a two party system, no matter who is President.
The problem is not with the captain, the problem is with the electoric. We as a people have become too greedy, too immoral, too ignorant, too
apathetic for good leaders. Those with money have a responsibility to
not take advantage of those with less money. We have our priorities
upside down. To address challenges, we need to first look to ourselves, second
our immediate family, third our extended family, fourth our religion, fifth our
neighborhood, sixth our local government, seventh our state government, and last
our federal government.
Hopefully, he won't let just any bar tender with the secret service agent
helping the Hollywood filming industry make a change and bring hope to our
country. Remember, however, the Chicago group uses all types of tactics,
invented or will be invented to keep entitlement in the voter's scheme of
things. Even with the words correctly used, the Chicago bunch turn
the meaning into something that is not what was said. Bartenders rule in this
world of political schemes and ways to invent to make money to pay the IRS taxes
from 6 years earlier, for the bar tender.
Go Romney! The principles he stands for are still the ones that will protect our
Constitution and our nation. Because he lost the election does not mean he lost
our vote for what is right and good for our country. I am glad he is stepping up
to do what he can instead of licking his wounds and letting his/our country
This is great news! This gives people ample time to evaluate these
"prsidential hopefuls" credentials, accomplishments, and alliances to
"donors" before any campaigns ramp up.
Mitt Romney is a great man and a true patriot.
I bet the servers are frisked for cameras! The rich can then plot with brunch
and discuss offshore accounts.
After seeing how the republicans threw Mitt under the bus after the election,
there is no one deserves Mitt's support other than Ryan. Especially the
Christy and the governor of LA, those two guys not only throwing Mitt under the
bus, they also ran him over, back up, and ran him over again, 3 times.
@EsquireObama...Is the Capt. of the Titanic! He saw the
iceberg and then commanded...... "Full Speed Ahead"!While the ship
sinks, he and Michelle are still eating, drinking and being merry, all on the
taxpayers money. We could have had an experienced Captain. One who
had a "proven" record of steering ships through troubled waters. Ward

Re Ernest T Bass"finally great"? You should read some
history books my friend.I feel sorry for all the people in this
"great country" who somehow feel we're less than great. My life
would be sad too, if I always saw the glass as half empty. We are a
great country. Our diversity and willingness to accept and embrace change has
made us such. While some in our country struggle to change and advance the
causes of freedom, we're far better then many in the world. Many countries
can't even get past the ethnic, racial, or religious differences within
their own borders. We have come a long ways in our short history. We are
"great" because of it.
To One Old Man -- and you think Clinton and every other president hasn't
done this? You have your head in the sand if you don't. Clinton stayed
quiet for a year, and then started charging huge amounts of money for lectures,
etc. What's the difference in having a forum in Deer Valley to talk
politics? One Vote, better believe other political parties
don't allow cameras or recorders! And I bet Bloomberg and Hollywood all
have ways to invest their monies abroad. It's amazing how this has been
made a "radical point" to many. Do you really believe it is only a
certain party? Bluto -- Obama is definitely captain of the
As a Navy vet who voted for both McCain and Romney, in retrospect, there are
plenty of problems with the appraoch by the Republican Party. My ethnic Germanic
father and recently deceased Irish mother found plenty to worry about with Mr.
Romney even as they voted for him for religious reasons. The party has been
painted as the ruling elite with power and privilege by the media. The Democrats
have targeted the young and have flaunted their opposition to capitalism as
exploitive of various minorities. Once the decision is made by the Supreme Court
which has become a political institution in regard to Prop 8 and DOMA, we will
see just how bad a shape this country is in from a moral perspective. There has
to be some serious thought to the formation of a new political party. The
Republicans are fading like the Whigs and the radical socialists have taken over
the Democratic Party. Both JFK and RFK were moderate businessmen. That is what
the conservatives in both political parties need to focus on and then act
accordingly. Hopefully, it will happen before the "snow falls" in 2016
and we repeat another political mess.
My prayers include one that they will nominate another pair who can't even
win their home States (or Ryan's own district) and that they keep up the
mantra that they only lost because the "takers" had their votes bought.
Even the Republican national committee publishes a 100 page post mortem on the
election, but so far only Jeb Bush and Rand Paul have bucked the logic of the
right that we just need to fine tune the message to be in the majority once
again. Repeat after me please: "No Amnesty for Illegals!", "They
will be block grant payments, not vouchers!" and of course, "Marriage is
only between a man and a woman!"
Beware of hidden cameras and microphones!
Whats the difference between Romney and Obama? Both agreed in favor of the
Patriot act, NDAA,and TSA checkpoints. Romney wrote Obamacare, Romney was in
favor of Gun Control while he was Governor. Romney was as much of a fraud as
The only Republican that I might vote for is Rand Paul and that is a big might.
I can only secretly hope, that they will secretly be talking about all of
-- the filthy dirty and unsightly poor, the lazy free loaders,
the blacks, hispanics, asians, the women, young and the LGBTs,the working poor 47% of America who can not pay Federal taxes, the
shrinking Middle Class who produced and made them all uber-rich, and what
contries they plan to invade next so they can shower America's blessings on
Defense and Government Contractors and Oil industies all at the cost of the
blood of the finacially poor who are serving in the Military duped into thinking
they are defending freedom and the Constitution.I also hope and pray
we get that all on video for the next election.
To CV gal:Clinton at least won elections and articulated views on
political issues. Romney does not like to get pinned down on anything for very
If it ain't about money Mitt is not in.Not all bad but Mitt
with Paul was going to balance the budget on the backs of the seniors, that is
still Pauls intention.GOP study shows Mitt would have left us a
bigger deficit than Pres Obama after the next 4 years.Colin Powell
was frightend Mitt would have our country in another war. There were
plenty of reasons not to vote for the man if you looked.
So far this Monday there is nothing more sad & depressing than this story.
I'm off to Starbucks for another cup of America's favorite
antidepressant. This one's for you, Mitt. Cheers!
Can't we have just 6 months off from campaigning? Is that too much to ask?
At last it is very clear to me - Mitt Romney (for good or bad) is a Republican,
dyed in the wool and true blue. I no longer have any reservations about being
Following the storm, the seas again flowed their way as before, But now the wind
is again rising and the waves are upon the sea shore.
Maybe the next pres can play a little less golf than the current one. After
all, we are all paying for it. Hows that $4 a gallon gas working out for
everyone...or those wonderful healthcare premiums? I think a change needs to
take place...unless the change you want it $5 per gallon gas.
Pav: Guess you missed it, about five months ago the price in Utah went below
$2.50 equaling the Newt pledge that not even Romney tried to match. You would
think someone from Australia would understand the world petrol marketplace. Do
you expect Julia Gillard to keep the price low as well or is this just an
Amazing! The GOP did not want Romney as a candidate in 2008, they didn't
seem to have a choice in 2012 so he was nominated as there candidate. Election
time and the voters didn't want him as President. As good a
man as Mitt Romney may or may not be, he really isn't the problem It is the
Republican Party. I don't see how bringing the same people and money
together is going to change anything. The GOP needs new faces and new ideas,
they need to bust up the ole boys club and truly get in touch with the blue
collars, middle-middle class and the working poor. I'm sorry but I do not
believe Mitt is the Answer to the Republicans problems. A total disconnect from
the Tea Party would be a big plus for the GOP too.
If Obama is the captain of the Titanic (not), then the GOP was,is and will
remain the iceberg.
There is only 1 potential candidate that is not beholden to the Federal Banking
Cartel (Unbelievably many people think that the Fed is the USA Government ,
when in reality it is a private group of Jewish Bankers that dictate our
monetary policy) That person is Rand Paul - he is also the only potential
candidate that would - Repeal the Anti American Legislation - The Patriot Act -
The NDAA Bill - He strongly believes in following the Constitution in all areas
of Government ( After all it is the Law Of The Land) - He would Repeal Obama
Care ( People have no idea of this nightmare coming) He would also severely
downsize the Federal Government and follow a balanced Budget - Everyone else
just talks about doing some of these things and that's all just talk - Bush
did , Obama did , Romney did - all hat no cattle. Now the media will
make sure that his positions are never truly known - only the Fed picks are
allowed any coverage.

Lake City, UTI think both of you need to get a better understanding
of the world petrol/gasoline markets and how they work. The heads of
state or their governments do not set the price....it is set by a world market
and what it cost at the pump has many factors, city, state, federal government
taxes, service station over head and the list goes on. Just take a look at the
pump prices in other countrys. The U.S. has almost always had the lowest pump
price for decades. Please lets not start a tit for tat arguement over
the difference of price in two different countries. I live in Australia and
hold dual citizenship with The U.S.A. each country has enough problems of ther
own without stirring up a tempest in a tea cup over pump prices.
I don't want to be a Republican anymore after 35.

don't remember Mitt buying his first house from the mafia or increasing his
net worth from 400k to 10 million while potus. Obama is slick, can give a great
campaign speech but still the economy is in the toilet and the increase in part
time jobs with no benefits should not be a coup for the President's
economic plan. We will hit 22 trillion by the time this flim flam man leaves
office and the only increase he will have on the record are those on food
stamps. what a mess this President has made of this country. his major
accomplishment seems to be lowering his handicap on the golf course. would vote
for Mitt in a heartbeat if he ever runs again.
