Very good insight Carmen Rasmussen.I know women who radiate goodness
and light ....very beautiful.Make-up is a poor substitute.
Yet, the girls in the photo have makeup on. Why?
Also, let's consider the toxins in so much of our beauty and skin products.
Reducing what we use is also healthy for the body.

I live across the street from PSHS (Plano Sr. High School) and have a daughter
who is a Jr. there. OF COURSE, Operation Beautiful wasn't perfect. But it
was good----very good. The girls were shocked (and shocked is probably a little
mild) at just how much the boys really still like them without makeup on. The
boys were surprised that the girls took SO LONG to add the makeup lay every
morning. All of them started talking about what beautiful really is and how to
recognize it and how to be it. I'm very proud of the girls and the
maturity it took to follow through with this experiment. The funny part is that
the girls noted that it wasn't the teens who looked so different without
makeup----it was the teachers! My daughter said she might skip makeup more
often now, but when she's 50 she's not getting out of bed without it!
Big kudos to Plano Sr. High School---they set the standard for excellence in
whatever they do! Grateful to the administrators who set the stage so well for
my children to learn as they transition to adulthood.
How sad that makeup is their norm.
