What problem are we solving here? Parents don't have enough information? They are not already bombarded by Powerschool, emails, progress reports, and grade reports? I work in a school and have not heard any parents saying they just can't get any information from their schools regarding their student's performance and they need more ways to get it. Just not an issue! Our schools give TONS of information, in many languages and formats - online programs, papers in backpacks, emails. What on earth is going on? The state has not even begun to get the grading system for schools right, and we are thinking $250,000 (the cost of this bill, supposedly) is going to provide more online data?
