Obamacare insurance plans may be expensive

Nothing that Obama has done shows that he has any comprehension of consequences. He promised that everyone would be covered and that the poor would not have to pay. What he really meant is that his mythical "rich guy" would have another bill to pay.

There is no "rich guy". Taxes will go up for you and me. Everybody who works will pay more.

Insurance is available to guard against the unknown. Those who offer insurance expect that those who buy insurance policies will be honest enough to buy the policy when they are healthy and that the policy holder will continuously pay the premium.

Obama has circumvented the entire process. He expects you and me to pay the premiums for those who waited until they were too sick to buy insurance. He expects you and me to be his patsies. No insurance system can survive under his plan. Premiums will skyrocket or medical service will revert to "take two aspirins and call me in next week if you don't feel better".

barack said obamacare would decrease health insurance costs for every middle class american.

And he also said he'd keep unemployment below 8% if given his first of many spendathons of 787 billion(it increased to over 11%)

And he said he'd cut the deficit in half in his first term(it increased)

You know what is more expensive? Private insurance plans. Oh and btw they could deny you coverage before Obamacare. Or they could drop you at any time... Usually at the worst time.

The exchanges are nothing but a prime additional way for more criminal activity for awarding contracts to relatives-friends etc. I know, I know, I know! There never will be oversite and in the dem states it is horrible.

You will not see your taxes go up a single dime, and I will cut the deficit in half.

I knew that wasn't going to be true four years ago.

Why are there people who couldn't see it?

I hope this is wrong.--by 2016, and after eight years of Obama, the United States of America will be more damaged then all of its wars put together.

May our Obama friends get what they voted for.

When assessing the value of Real Clear Market's assessment it should be noted it is a conservative news service.

There's a saying, "pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered."

If the private insurance market continues to "stick" it to Americans it will just hasten the change to a single-payer system.

We didn't need Obamacare to require insurance companies to stop denying coverage based on pre-existing conditions. That could have been a simple change and requirement...they call it "regulation". Democrats love regulation.

But now we have this behemoth Obamacare that will cost more than initially reported, and cover less. It is the typical government program that does less but costs more.

History will not be kind to Obama.

History will not be kind to Obama, but history will be kinder than Obama is to America. There's no way to get something out of nothing, and that's what was promised by this absurd legislation which could more accurately be called "Pelosicare." It will be a disaster for taxpayers, workers, providers, and patients. Plus, it is definitely a job killer. Doesn't take a mental giant to add 2 + 2 and come up with something close to 4 . . . but the politicians apparently don't understand it.

Hogwash! Insurers have fought doing so for years, and would have done so forever without Obamacare. That said, Obamacare is a pale immitation of what a true socialized health care system could have been.

So you're really just saying the healthcare plan REPUBLICANS pitched in the 90's stinks. Obama didn't come up with it, republicans did.

So, a program pitched 20 yrs ago and found to be not a good idea, is now ok if you are Obama. A bit behind the times if you ask me. There was a reason it didn't make legislation in the 90's. Obama took a bad idea and made it his own. That is his own fault.

I've always had private insurance and my costs have NEVER once down. Every single year I pay more money for less coverage. Our wealthy benefactors in the insurance industry have seen to that. But like most of the hypocrites who post here, I've got mine and everyone else can just suffer.

    Excellent arguments for single-payer.

To "The Real Maverick" and "Eric Samuelsen" you are wrong. According to the IRS (not CBO), the cheapest plan under Obamacare is $20,000. Nationally the average cost for health insurance is about $15,000. That means under a government plan it cost about $5,000 more for government to do the same thing that private industry already does.

Now, you will probably start quoting stories or things using the CBO estimates. Before you do that, lets review how well the CBO does at estimating healthcare related costs. Their original estimate for Obamacare was $900 billion. The latest estimates put it at $2.6 Trillion.

you know who the real hypocrites are? Those who say Obamacare is the answer to the evil insurance companies.

You know why? Obamacare forces EVERYONE to buy their product. The insurance companies are ther BIGGEST winners in the whole deal. Why do you think they did NOT lobby against it like they did Hillarycare?

the biggest losers? people seeking employment and people who desire civil liberty.

don't bother Eric, and ESPECIALLY not Maverick with facts. After all, Maverick insisted slick willy got a majority of the votes both times he was elected, when we know he was below 50% each time.

But Samuelson is correct in a way; BO and the demonrats are just using this as a stepping stone for socialized medicine.

no no .... Obamacare is going to be free ...or at least affordable ... or at least better than what we currently have. Right? Barack promised and we all know Barack can't promise anything that isn't true. Right? Never mind the average insurance premimum has gone up by nearly $2000 per year since Communist-Care .. I mean Obama-care kicked in. Wait - didn't Barack promise premiums would go down by $2500 per year ??? Oh yes I keep forgetting we just need to give him more time... The definition of stupidity is repeating the same mistake over and over again...like re-electing a guy named Barack Obama.
