I've pondered this thought a few times and is a serious matter that can
have real consequences if no forethought is given. In the military
in conditions on maneuvers they have a system of public latrines to service
hundreds of soldiers that would make good solution for neighborhoods in
emergency conditions. I hadn't thought of or knew sewage back flow was an
issue but I think some simple back flow valves incorporated in development at
end of line drainage pipes should be a zoning requirement, even in Utah. For personal use in emergency's its will require cooperation by
neighbors to set up and establish a single point waste dumping latrine small
enough to relocate on a weekly basis. Cities should buy some honey wagons to
drive neighborhood latrines on a daily basis. A family bucket is good for
privacy but it still has to be disposed of with of without transportation or
shovels.Calling your local porta potty service will not be
available. I'd try and organize a public 2 gender latrines in the event of
A family emergency kit should also include a shovel.
I don't want to think about the mess I could be in. My be I ott ta do some
thing about that now.
