What makes this criminal thinks he can hide behind a red barrier? I guess you
can run but you can't hide eh?
Maybe he felt "threatened."The NRA says it's okay to
use your Second Amendment rights if you feel threatened. So who are we to say
anything that might limit this upstanding patriot's sacred rights to pop
caps when needed.
But maybe the poor guy felt "threatened."After all,
doesn't the NRA tell us that every patriotic American should be able to
shoot any time they FEEL that they are being threatened by someone?Who are we to tell this poor fella that he can't exercise his Second
Amendment rights to self defense? If the NRA says it's okay,
then it must be okay. Right?
One Old Man does NOT speak for the NRA nor can he find a policy statement
supporting his contention that the NRA tells anyone that they can shoot any time
they feel threatened or any time they feel like it. The NRA DOES support your
right to defend yourself. It supports your right to keep and bear arms. It has
pushed for tougher legislation to punish the criminal use of firearms than
either political party has been willing to pass. It spends more money on child
gun safety programs (stop, don't touch, leave the area, tell an adult) than
all of the anti-gun organizations combined. Contrast that against this
individual who wants to politicize a clearly criminal event and misrepresent the
position of an organization protecting YOUR rights. Personally, if I were the
pedestrian target I'd rather have the means to protect myself (as supported
by the NRA) than hide behind a bush and pray that the assailant is as poor of a
shot as he is a driver, though prayer works sometimes.
