House committee supports bill calling for innovative charter schools

    If charter schools are indeed cookie cutter copies of regular public schools, perhaps charters are not needed at all. They must have learned that the neighborhood schools are actually doing education right.

    When asked about their own neighborhood schools, the vast majority of people praise them.

    Our Legislature needs to support neighborhood schools instead of supplying family and friends with government money to set up an unnecessary charter/ contract school.

    And what the heck is up with letting a private school switch to charter? Follow the money.
