Don't you dems just get sick of it sometimes? I'm so tired of his face
on tv telling us what we should do, travelling on our dime to make (campaign?)
speeches, playing golf, spending money, dividing the country between rich and
poor, black and white, Repubs & dems. You've bought it and I can't
Obama is the best politician to ever inhabit the White House. No one - and I
mean no one - even comes close. The man is a wizard. Unfortunately he also has
the dubious distinction of being the worst leader and worst president in
American history. So BEST politician WORST leader...yes Barack gets the prize.
His tactics are really quite predictable and simple as we have all seen over the
past 4.5 years. The man doesn't lead - he campaigns. The man doesn't
negotiate with the other side - he campaigns. The man doesn't hammer out
bi-partisan solutions like Clinton did in his second term - he campaigns
instead. EVERYTHING is about campaigning to the public - his public. His tools -
Late Night with Letterman , The Tonight Show with Leno as well as his lap dog
media outlets. Going to union friendly cities in Ohio and Michigan are favorite
stops too for Barack to gin up his people into a frenzy. There are always the
familiar props too such as old folks or children or police or whomever serves
his purpose at the moment. Actually govern ? HA! Not going to happen. The man
has zero experience governing or leading anything.
The problem is that Republicans state that they gave in to higher taxes. That
is actually incorrect.Republicans let the tax increases happen at
the end of 2012 and then in early 2013 agreed to lower taxes for all except
those making more than $400,000 (Single) and $450,000 (Married). So
when Republicans say they gave into tax increases, they are lying. Tax
increases were coming and they didn't do anything to stop it. This is the
same thing that Democrats can say. Both parties can claim to have lowered taxes
too.Do to this, Republicans can't say that they gave in on tax
increases, because they didn't. What Republicans are saying is
something like the following: You check out a book from the
library, renew it a couple of times and then return it on the day it is due. 3
Days later, you then state that you donated the book to the library. For those that need help, the book references the higher taxes that kept
getting renewed and eventually came due. By not renewing the taxes, you are not
What do people really expect from a Chicago thug who won his first election not
through his own qualifications, but by getting his opponent’s divorce
records unsealed and then proceeding to smear him with distortions of very
intimate details? His scorched earth unethical campaign against Romney
(highlighted by a chronically lying Stephanie Cutter) was merely a repeat of the
same old bully ObamaObama can’t win by the logic of his
policies (there is none) - his only option is to destroy everyone else in his
path. He makes Nixon look like a choirboyObama offers NOTHING to
govern with. So ongoing bullying to divert attention from reality will be spewed
for the next 4 years.
I don't know about anyone else, but I'm really tired of this guy.
He's done nothing and what policies he has instituted have been a disaster.
Can't wait for 2016, that is, if I can afford it.
Sometimes, (no, really it's too often) the hate Obama comments here boggle
the mind of a sane person.
America is no longer a great nation with great people. We have become a nation
where the majority believe they are entitled to receive what they didn't
work for. Obama is proof!
re:one old manyou need to try to understand the REASONS why Obama is
so hated in this country and it certainly has nothing to do with his race. Obama
has proven to be a very dishonest, and disingenuous man that seems to care
nothing for America - it's past or it's future. Both he his wife have
an obvious and ugly hatred of traditional America and see themselves as the
orchestrator s of fundamental change to our freedoms, to our constitution, to
our capitalistic way of life. To most of us who understand and hate communism
and all its ugly cousins of progressive socialism - the things Barack and
Michelle are attempting to do to America amounts to out right tyranny.
You Tea Partiers could dislike Obama's policies and it would be fine.
It's your constant hyperbole that I find ridiculous. Obama can't just
have policies you dislike. Instead he "hates America" and is a
"communist or socialist," or better yet, a "thug". If you talk
about his religion, you assume he has got to be a religion you personally
totally disrespect. You are positive he was born in Kenya, although there is
absolutely no evidence of that. According to your constant need for
exaggerating, he's not just a bad leader, he's THE WORST leader ever
seen in the history of the world, maybe even the universe! Don't you ever
wonder that you might be just a tad bit irrational about this man?
#1 Obama has issued fewer executive orders per day in office than George W.
Bush, Ronald Reagan, and Calvin Coolidge. In fact, you have to go all the way
back to Grover Cleveland in the nineteenth century to find a president who has
issued executive orders at a lower rate than Obama. #2. The record
is clear. Republican Senate Minority, now Majority leader Mitch McConnell
clearly stated the Republican's goal was to deny Obama a 2nd term. So
accusing Pres. Obama of not working with Republicans? Get serious. Even Ari
Fleisher, Bush's press secretary acknowledged the more Obama's
fingerprints are on legislation the less likely Republicans will pass the
legislation. Republicans are pandering to their narrow base which demands party
purity and no compromise. The majority of Americans view the Republican Party
as too extreme.#3. Romney and Republicans lost the election by
their own words and policies which included demonizing 47% of the American
population, women and minorities. Appealing only to white conservative males
just isn't a winning strategy.
@ Truthseeker. Obama won the election because like the majority of people living
in your state, people wanting more freebies elected him. That is a fact!
This tired old tone has not worked before what makes you think it is going to
magically persued anyone know? It just sounds like sour grapes.
" Obama won the election because like the majority of people living in your
state, people wanting more freebies elected him. That is a fact!"Mountanman. California receives less in Government money than it put in.Utah receives MORE government money than it puts in. Who is getting the
"freebies"?If I lived in Utah, I would not use this argument
against a Californian.
And where are the courageous Republican members of the House and Senate now?
Hint - it isn't in Washington, DC. To be fair, so are the
Democrats. They need to be there, in session, at least acting like
The House has passed 2 resolutions to refine the cuts, but the democratic senate
has yet to act on them. The president has said he will not accept any
bill that does not include another tax increase. So why should the
representatives sit is session? They have done their part. They will get the
cuts so many of us know we need, and the senate and president refuse to refine.
What the representatives should do instead is travel the country
making speeches about how the president and the senate are refusing to meet
their obligations, just like the president has done regarding them.
@patriot"Obama has proven to be a very dishonest, and disingenuous man
that seems to care nothing for America - it's past or it's future.

it's not a reason based in reality. I thought Bush did a terrible job as
president and thought his policies were not good ideas more often than not. But
I didn't think he had any "ugly hatred of America". You can't
seem to get over the idea that there are people who disagree with you who
@BadgerBadgerThe only reason the House has passed something is because
they don't need 60% of the vote to pass something. The only reason the
Senate has not passed somethig is because with GOP filibusters on just about
everything these days they need 60% of the votes to pass something. If you
reverse it and make the House need 60% and the Senate need 50% then the Senate
would be the only one with a bill passed.
Objective, thoughtful criticism? No. Whining? Yes.
@Atl"The only reason the House has passed something is because
they don't need 60%"Exactly right. Maybe the right is just
uninformed. Maybe they are unaware that the house can pass ANYTHING it want
with zero democratic votes. They act as if this is some major failure
by the democrats. In reality it is a failure of our congress, both R and D, to
construct bi-partisan legislation.Nothing more, nothing less.
More sour grapes from the right.Obama won, now get over it. Your repub party still has worse approval ratings than the democrats or
president. Watcha gonna do to fix that? Continue to bash Obama? Great
@ The Real Maverick. Get over it? Do you mean like the left got over losing to
GWB or Ronald Reagan? America has been fundamentally changed and not for the
better and I doubt we will ever be the great country we once were, thanks in
large part to Barrack Obama's misguided leadership! He has America's
very soul lost in the jungle of secularism and socialism.Joe Blow:
California spends more money on welfare and other unearned entitlements than any
state in the union, has the highest taxes and they have the highest deficits of
all states! People and businesses (taxpayers and job creators) are leaving in
droves leaving guess who?
Wow, this ought to be really fun to watch in two years. Like one poster said
here most of us know that the stated hate posted by some here is an outlier,
especially when the Presidents aproval rating is over 50% now..but it's fun
to watch. Just a small note to Mtnman. I suppose you've
forgotten that it's the principle of secularism that protects your right to
believe any religious notion you choose. It's the principle that allows
Mormons to worship alongside Catholics, and Muslims. You'd better hope
that secularism is alive and well in America for the sake of your own beliefs.
So, who was it the president was supposed to talk about during the election if
not Romney? These grapes smell sour.
@ Pragmat. Secular progressivism is it own religion. Charles Darwin and Karl
Marx invented it and it has become the religion of liberalism!
Makid,Allowing taxes to increase on those making above a certain amount is
not an increase? Ah, the beauty and incomprehensibility of dem/liberal
logic.Old man, Maverickcannot defend BO, so you just denigrate
his opponents (just like your hero). You must be reading MSNBC and DNC hate
speech again!Wonder,BO was not born in Kenya. Greece maybeTruthseeker,BO told repubs they could come along, but they had to
ride in the back of the bus. That fosters bipartisanship?I am GLAD
the repubs are trying to stop BO’s disastrous policies.JoeBlow,“Utah receives more money than it puts in” Stop
getting your information from a “comedian”. Utah is in the bottom
five in federal expenditures per capita.Atl134,The Obamas
don’t dislike the US? You missed Michelle’s comment that she had
NEVER been proud of her country, or the America-hate they absorbed from Wright?
The senate has refused to try to vote on the house bills, the problem is not
filibusters.Maverick, you who said last November slick won
with a 49% majority. 49% is NOT a majority. you lack credibility
atl134No filibuster, no vote, no discussion. Harry Reid has
singlehandedly crushed the house bills by refusing to allow them to come up. It
is called obstructionism. He blocked it for fear it would pass, or that the
democrats would have to filibuster to stop it. He probably did it at
the president's bidding. What an awkward position for Obama, to have to
decide to sign for painless cuts (in pork), or not to sign leaving painful cuts
in place so he can demand another tax increase. He might lose a few worshipers
over that, although I am sure you would still be there for him.Your
suggestion of 60% vote needed is pure fiction here. It simply doesn't
apply. It is nothing more than democrat sour grapes. Well I am off
to my tea party. It is a day to celebrate. The country is about to discover that
is can actually restrain spending and flourish! Obama and the MSM will try to
conceal the benefits, but the benefits will shine through.TTFN
"America has been fundamentally changed and not for the better and I doubt
we will ever be the great country we once were."Rather than
nonse rhetoric like this, I would love to see how American has been
fundimentally changed so dramtically - more so than iw was changed from
2001-2009? I am not saying the those years were the worst ever - but - the
single largest loss of capital happened between 2001-2009. The greatest loss of
jobs in nearly 100 years happened inthat time window. The largest government
bailout of the economy, happen between those years, the single largest attack on
American in over 50 years, happened between 2001-2009.So worst I
guess really is a relative term. The Bush years ended in financial disaster.
Not an opinopn, but a documented fact. Doesn't make Bush bad or good. It
wasn't all his fault.. hardly. But silly claims like
"worst president ever" and "Ameican fundementally changed" -
more so than even the 1960s or between 1860 - 1880... it is a hard stretch to
understand how comments like those are based on anthing factual. That
is raw emotion - based on something far different.
What good is a law that contains a legal option to “simply ignore that
law”?What good is a law that cannot be enforced? What freedom do you have that is not secured and enforced by law. What kind of people should you not elect to be your government.
Mr. Obama, while you’ve got your finger in the eye of the republicans,
give it a good twist for me.
What a sad letter. Nothing but right wing talk points and half truths, and
under it all, resentment and fear.
To "JoeBlow" you are connecting 2 different things. California's
welfare programs are are the 10th highest in the generosity, meaning they pay
the most. Of the top 10, 8 were solid liberal states. So, the statement that
it was people who want more welfare electing Obama is actually quite true.To "atl134" if Obama and his wife really liked America and its
traditions why is it that Michelle Obama stated "we're going to have to
change our traditions, our history; we're going to have to move into a
different place as a nation." If we have good traditions, a good history,
and are in a good place, why change it unless you don't like it?
The books Confidence Men, The Price of Politics, and getting a balance from
cable news confirms we have a President who can't lead, divisive, no plan,
and dos'nt know how to bargain with the other side. The damage Obama will
do in the next 4 years will hurt the majority of those who voted for him. Seeing
it now in my city.
Mountainman..Secularism has nothing to do with progressivesim. Secularism is
simply when the state is not involved in promoting or championing religion or a
particular religion. Many, many religious people are secularists and value
secularisim. Many, many progressives are religious, as evidenced by posters on
this thread. Conflating secularism and pogressivism as inherently belonging
together is just plain wrong.
they have gone around the bend.
