Sometimes wonder whether making Millsap the first option might help the Jazz.
Make him the go-to guy.
Thank you Matt Harpring for for having the guts to say on the broadcast tonight
that maybe it's time for Corbin to switch to Hayward and Carroll at the
small forward! Do ya think? I know you have to appease the Polly Anna Jazz fans
out there that believe a true Jazz fan needs to shut their mouth and support
everything that's going on, but the madness has to stop right now. We have
given Marvin Williams a chance and I'm sorry, it's not working!! With
Mo Williams coming back the minutes need to go to Mo and Tinsley at point, Foye
and Burks at the 2, Hayward and Carroll at the 3, Sap and Favors at the 4,
Jefferson and Kanter at the 5. Of course Burks can slide to the point and
Hayward can move to the 2 spot as well but it's time to tighten the
rotation and let these guys play. Sorry Marvin, but that $8 million bucks this
year can be used to cheer you up.
Your right Lindsey. No trade was needed. Watson and Tingsley zero points. What a
joke a of GM. The Jazz don't need to make the playoffs. Five games at best.
The fans deserve better. Wake up Greg and do something.
Corbins starting lineup is a joke! Al, Marvin, Randy and Jamaal need to be
We have spent good money going to bad at this point. Marvin Williams was a
wasted off-season choice and it was no wonder Atlanta wanted to give him away.
Tinsley is way beyond him prime and Randy Foye is too inconsistent. The Jazz
needs to come to a reckoning with the entire direction of the team. Zero points
for those three must make the Jazz wonder about the wisdom of acquiring older
players that no one wants anymore. The only time I saw the Jazz play at all was
when we had Burks, Favors, Hayward, and Kanter on the floor. This has got to
tell the Jazz organization where they need to go to have any future for the
team. If it doesn't, then the organization needs to be replaced.
@coleman51I agree with your comments except regarding Foye. He definitely
had a bad night last night but he has been a real outside threat for the Jazz
and is one of the best percentage 3 point shooters in the league. The Jazz were
terrible last year from beyond the arc and I think Foye has been a nice
surprise. The young bucks on the team did play well as a unit last night and I
hope we start seeing a lot more of that unit.
At what point do the Miller's put thier foot down and force this coaching
staff to do what has to be done. It is time for the youth to be served. There
will be giant growing pains, the Jazz will lose more games than if they stuck
with Al and Paul, but they are gone at the end of the year. What is the
point of winning just enough games to get in as a eighth seed or seventh seed,
get swept and come back for more of the same year after year. Furether, it is
painful watching the "starting unit" just get outclassed until the
second unit comes in and bails them out. How does Coach Corbin not see what is
going on in the first and third? Coach, start with defense and go from there. Do
what you need to do to get your best defenders on the court and see what
happens. If the Miller's don't get this under control, the
terrible attendence will only get worse.
I can definitely tell as a fan base we are not patient at all. Most teams when
they lose stars like Stockton and Malone, spend a decade building things back
up, but the Jazz have had what 2 losing seasons since and in a small market to
boot. Sorry guys I don't think this team sucks, I get frustrated that their
too inconsistant on defense but their offense is not losing games, they score
just fine. Corbin needs to be more demanding of the defense they play, and if
they don't play hard they sit. But guys when your 2 main scorers are you
center and power forward, your small forward isn't going to score a ton,
that's why they moved Gordon to the bench to have more opportunities with
the second unit. Marvin plays good defense, and he's trying to get
confortable with a new system cut the guy a little slack. And Foye has been more
consistant that anyone for what he does. And most teams don't win more when
there back up point guards go in, those guys are doing a decent job. Show a tiny
bit of patience!
