When the jazz play with emotion they are competitive with just about any team in
the NBA. So let me suggest that someone create an app which polls the players
about 3 hours before game time which will alert all the season ticket holders of
what to expect. I enjoy watching Al Jefferson when he is playing
hard. but I sometimes wonder if he has a "no offensive rebounding"
clause in his contract. Most of the time when a shot attempt is made by a Jazz
player and while the ball is in the air, he is already moving down court. He
rarely even tries to get inside position on the defense. Go Jazz,
as a team you are looking good.
Great win for the Jazz last night. The team really played balanced but as usual
Big Al leads the team to another win. The guy has been incredible this year. The
Jazz really need to resign him. I get that he is killed on the pick and roll but
most bigs are. I also get that fans want to see the youth but from what
I've seen of Kanter, he is at least 2-3 years from being truly effective.
Honestly I really like the Bledsoe for Millsap deal that is being rumored.
Playing time is freed up for Favors and the Jazz get a young PG.
My guess is that Lindsey will continue his lame duck ways and do absolutely
All the Jazz need is a top 5 PG and they can contend for Western conference
championship. Why trade anyone at this point?
@BacanaUte "...I get that he is killed on the pick and roll but most bigs
are."Uh, Kanter and Favors both defend the pick and roll like it
should be and make Al Jefferson look like a rookie on defense. No
doubt AJ has been a beast this year on offense but we saw how well that went in
the playoffs last year. He was completely muted when defenses collapsed on him.
Tim Duncan almost stopped him all by himself and Duncan is not even known as a
great defensive player.Any time the opposition needed a basket you
just run a pick and roll at Al. A layup or a wide open 3 point shot. Take your
pick. The big question is whether Favors will be good enough in the
playoffs to recover and cover Al's butt on defense. That is why there is
more rumors to trade Millsap than AJ. AJ is better better offensively and they
believe Favors can cover alot of Als sins so to speak. This team is
young and growing but without a superstar you won't be going anywhere in
the playoffs.Bledsoe would be nice but that is a longer term
Why not keep a team together for a couple of years? They get used to each other
and can depend on a person to be there when they pass the ball. It take new
players time to become adjust to the way the Jazz play. It would seem that
everybody has games when they do better than usual and games when they are not
so productive. This team is just beginning to fit together...why mess things
@H2OSKIi agree with you...Al Jeff...is a young Carlos Boozer...with
better post moves...and Kanter may be 2-3 years away...but Favors needs the game
time minutes...and see action against top big men...yes...he will get beaten
badly...but with those minutes and with the right coaching...it will serve as
motivation for the off-season...plus...he will know exactly what he needs to
develop during the off-season..since he would learn from his
mistakes...honestly...for me...he needs to get a reliably 15 ft jumper...more
fluidity with post moves...ball handling...and more efficient rebounding...how
come they dont ask for some of the hall of famer's help...like Moses
Trade deadline is ticking...
