Is Hale Centre Theatre poised to move to Sandy?

    But Mayor Winder just was quoted as saying that everyone "loves west valley City." Really??? Why wouldn't they want to retain the Hale Theater? I guess maybe Maverik has some red-hot deal for them.

    Sounds to me like some of the richy rich don't want to go to West Valley City, they would much rather go to Sandy.

    Sandy only offered Hale Center Theatre 5.5 acres. West Valley City offered the theatre 11 acres. If the theatre wants to build in Sandy, they must also build a parking structure to accommodate all of the patrons. With an additional cost of well over $10 Million to build a sufficient parking structure, it's hard to believe that ticket prices won't increase dramatically if they go to Sandy. West Valley City could provide sufficient surface parking and save the theatre millions--literally.
