I hope the victim can modify and reflie this lawsuit.I also hope
that more women take advantage of the opportunity to carry legal self defense
weapons, and get the training to protect themselves. I never want to read a
story like the horrific attack on this woman again. Stories of rapists shot by
their intended victims do not bother me at all.
From what we know now, we can all ask the question as to why this particular
inmate was allowed to work on 'work release'. What were the first six
stints in prison for? Were they for assaults/battery, etc.? If so, then how
could he and others be allowed to wander around unattended, amongst society at
large?Does government claim responsibility for anything they do?
Who they injure? Who they shoot? Then, when a claim is filed, where is the
objective judge and jury, or do they just judge themselves, and claim that the
government employee was "justified" according to the circumstances which
circumstances are not made a matter of public record. As Pres. Reagan
said: "Government is NOT the solution to the problem. Government IS the
Govt. Doesn't need to worry about taking responsibility in cases like this
as long as we have judges sitting on the bench like Mortenson! Makes me wonder
how he can look any female in the eye, but then again.....
The judge is way off base. This guy had a violent criminal history. This judge
won't be getting my vote next time he's up for retention. But then
I'd have to move to Provo.
also the company using this labour did not report him missing. he should not
have been able to walk off at all. was this free or cheap labour.is capitalism
in this form right. like slave labour.
